Recently my dad went for a blood test and the doctor informed him that he has a weak liver. On top of that, he has been currently consuming medication for his high blood pressure as well as a prostate disorder (inability to hold the pee for long, i.e. need to visit toilet often). Doctor explained to say that this weak liver is mainly due to often medicine consumption over the years.

Historically, he rarely drinks, only on very rare ocassions and company dinners which are not often as well. Very healthy man, exercise (hiking) on weekly basis.

Would like to seek if anyone has any suggestion on what sort of medicine which is suitable for such situation?

I've received suggestion to try Legalon (a US medicine). There are some suggestion to try Korean medicine (not sure what is the name) or perhaps Japan, as they are quite strong drinkers and would most probably require liver related medication.

Doctor didnt really specify what medicine yet at the moment, hence would like to know if anyone is facing the same issue.
