If refund is difficult, what about request to postpone the trip? Such as push it down to say, October or November? Do they entertain the request? I'd say it's better than to let the ticket burn

Dude, change our flight date is on our expense, even with coviid19 outbreak like this. Last time i check, if i reschedule my flight to november, the fare is even expensive than my current ticket - its like i bought a new, more expensive one and burnt my current ticket as well. That's why i want to cancel.
AA is really being irresponsible, I guess they will learn their lesson if all their flights are full with infected people.

JR Pass bought from Klook?
If yes, email them and send back the Pass and get 90% refund
I did mine on January when the outbreak start.
While AA ? My flight to Fukuoka just left me this morning
Tix burnt~~
I already lodge case number with AA but guess what they reply?
"we are aware of the current situation and we truly understand your concerns regarding the recent coronavirus outbreak.
However, after bla bla bla ..... ..... It was out of our current refund policy bla bla bla ...
Hence your booking is not included in the service recovery."
Ask me please refer to airasia newsroom for up to date news.
So if nothing posted in newsroom meaning no chance to refund
If it is out of current refund policy, then make a new one AA. When yoir corporate and legal team write the policy, there was no COVID19 yet. Now there is a new contagious virus leading to global epidemic, u have to react, write a new policy, be a responsible airlines and help stop the spread whenever u can!
But no they even up their promotion - amid the epidemic and bribery scandal.
