Hi all. I will touchdown at Tokyo at 22:30. I assume with custom clearance, baggage collection and all might take another 1 hour plus.

Feel waste if I check in to hotel so late. Not sure got train at that time or not. Are we allowed to sleep at airport so I can check in to my hotel the next day instead?

My itinerary is for 10days. Plan to stay in tokyo for 5-6 days and the rest in fukuoka. Will be back to KL from fukuoka.
What is the best public transport pass to get for tokyo travel, tokyo to fukuoka, fukuoka travel?

Kindly advise please.

P/s : preparing for olimpics 2020

Depends on where you are going. There is a subway pass for unlimited use for 24 hours, 48 Hours and 72 Hours for travel around Tokyo subways. If you don't travel a lot, getting a suica/passmo would be adequate.

*
Is there such single ticket/pass which I can use it to travel around tokyo, tokyo to fukuoka, and travel around fukuoka? Or is it best to just use suica/passmo?

all packages by our Authorised Ticket Reseller (ATR) Kingdom Sports Group are sold out. they are very expensive too!

Read from their website it says lottery tickets starts 24th june. How could it be sold out?

I am staying and working in Japan now and they open the tickets for Japanese Residents and it ended. Opening ceremony is hard to get and it is expensive, 300.000 yen each

I've never been to tokyo before. Can u recommend me which area should i stay during olimpics which i no need to pay with my arms and legs? I dont mind the longer train travel.

if you don't mind the distance, 1 hour away form tokyo center might be good. Can try Yokohama, Chiba, Saitama or look for place on outskirts of Tokyo that is on Chuo train line.

Great. Will browse airbnb at those areas. Thank you.

I'm strongly hoping that AA will announce Japan flights refund. I'm planning to cancel my Olympics trip coming July.
