Oh, is it still accessible via Train between these 2 places? Man, I really need to research more... Too many things need to check. laugh.gif

The bus ride is included in the Tateyama Kurobe Option Ticket (One Way). Not your Japan Rail Pass.

This option ticket was it the one that I purchase for 5 days? Pleas enlighten me...

I just had a check in the japan bus online. The ticket can only be purchased 1 month before the traveling date. So I still have 8 more days to check.Phew...

The Tateyama Kurobe Option Ticket is included on the ticket you mentioned above.

Your ticket from Klook mentions....

Inclusive Of:

Non-reserved seats on JR Limited Express, Express, Rapid, and local trains
•Between Nagoya and Toyama
•Between Shinano-Omachi and Nagoya
•Between Dentetsu-Toyama and Shinano-Omachi within the Alpine Route

Non-reserved seats on Toyama Chiho Railway Limited Express trains
•Between Dentetsu-Toyama and Tateyama

Unlimited use of transportation within the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
•Between Toyama, Tateyama, Murodo, Daikanbo, Kurobe Dam, and Shinano-Omachi

Safe to say the ticket above includes all the required transportation for your trip for the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine route.

Which side do you plan to start from. Because the route starts from one side and ends on another side. If you need to return to where you start off, you would need to take the Shinkansen back and its a 2 hour ride back.

I will be starting from Nagoya. Below is my schedule.

1st day - Nagoya
2nd day - Takayama
3rd day - Shirakawago
4th day - Shinhotaka Ropeway
5th day - Toyama (start 5 days ticket )
6th day - Alpine Route
7th day - Matsumoto
8th day - Kamikochi
9th day - Nagoya
10th day - Nagoya

Guys, does anyone know whether I can use the 5 days Tateyama Kurobe Option ticket to get transport from Ogizawa station to Shina-Omachi station? I watch youtube and it seems like there is bus directly to that station.

For the Tateyama station to Bijodaira station ride, from the youtuber video it seems like I need to reserve the timeslot to get into it and this is the only ride that required to book the seat, the rest of the 5 types of rides are basically queuing. Did anyone experience this?

1) Yes, Alpine Kurobe Pass does include Ogizawa to Shina-Omachi Station, Vice Versa by bus ride.

2) Tateyama station to Bijodaira station ride was a tram same like our Bukit Bendera. It got timetable. No need booked seat, first come first serve, once it full, you just need wait for next ride. every 20 minute 1 ride.

Nice info!! Thanks. I will try to get the earliest ride to Alpine route, cause second day after staying in Tateyama hotel i will need to make sure that I can reach Matsumoto before night so I can still visit some places in Matsumoto.

Depends you go on which season, Winter Season (April) & Autumn Season more early you go more people u will get, everyone wanted to go most early, end up most jam packed.

beginning of May, the middle of August, and the beginning of October

I will be going to Alpine Route on 21st May 2019 and stay overnight at Tateyama Hotel.

If you overnight at Tateyama, I assume you will start from Matsumoto to Shina Omachi to Ogizawa. The Reverse way, this way always less people.

When I go during peak season. I do used reverse way

I'm actually starting from Toyama instead? >.<

Cause I haven't been to Nagoya area and Takayama area as well.

Less than 3 days till my trip to Nagoya, Toyama and Alpine Route region. Purchase all bus tickets I could for this trip. And be ready to sleep and wake up early every day until the last two days in Nagoya. Hopefully the weather in Alpine Route is fine....

Just came back from Nagoya, Japan on 26th May. I would like to thank you all for guiding and aiding me during my plan for the trip to Alpine Route, Toyama, Shirakawago, Shin-Hotaka, and Takayama.

This journey is really tiredsome ( had to wake up at 5am every day to catch the first bus/train ), but I really enjoy the epic scenery especially in Tateyama and Kamikochi. Special shout out to Tohff7 for giving me so much advice on the bus route and schedule. rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

The last 2 days ( 25th and 26th May ) is very hot in Nagoya. It's around 34 Degree. Luckily it only hit two day from my ten days trip and there is only one night raining. Overall the weather is very good.

Hey just want to know if your trip in May, was there still a lot of snow/ice up in the Alpine Route and along the ropeway up in the mountains?

I thought the best month to go is in April before the Golden week in May? How were the crowds there at the time you went?

Thanks
*
Yes, the snow is still covered everywhere in May. The crowd is still pack in May in Murodo, but overall the transportation is smooth, and not much queue actually.
