Hi friends, I will be going to Osaka -> Kyoto -> Tokyo this coming mid November for 17 days. I have been doing some homework over the internet reading reviews and etc but could not decide where to best stay in Osaka and Kyoto. Do you mind to help me recommend some hotels or area to focus on? I read "Minami" in Osaka is a good place to stay due its proximity to Dotonbori and other shopping/nightlife scenes. I am also planning to visit Nara while I am in Osaka but I have some doubts as I'm not too sure if these areas suggested are convenient for me to travel to Nara via Train/Mrt.

Not forgetting, I will be bringing my family with me, a total of 4 of us, all adults.

Tentative
Osaka (5 days 4 nights) 1 night will be wasted as I will reaching at around 9.20pm.
Kyoto (3 days 2 nights)
Tokyo (9 days 8 nights) Plan to travel to either Hakone or Chureito Temple for a day. Which is better?

Thanks all for your advises in advance!

Hi all,

I am about to buy DisneySEA tickets but is stuck whether to get it directly from their official website or through Changi Recommends/Klook/Etc? What's your suggestion? I don't see discounts for Klook now.

Thank you all for your advise!

Anyone just came back from Kyoto recently? Have the leaves turned yellowish by this time? I read that this year foliage is delayed due to rising temperature. Do you mind to share your pictures? Thank you!

why would u want to use a taxi in japan?
ICOCA is an IC card like our touch & go card
haruka pass is a 1 way express train ticket to kyoto station

if u owned a IC card like pasmo or suica, u don't need ICOCA
and there are other mode of transportation in KIX to go where u wanted to go too

Guys, from your experience, is rm12k cash for two person enough mainly for food, train & random spending for 2 weeks in japan? Osaka, kyoto and tokyo. I have paid for accomodation, attraction tickets, flights, etc already.

Depends on what sort of food you're spending on isn't it? RM12k divided by 14 nights is around RM430/person/day or 11,000Y budget per person per day. Most meals at average restaurants cost around 1000-2000Y? Michelin star restaurants probably around 3000-10000Y.

Random spending is so general & subjective and again, what items? Random spending on luxury goods can obviously break the budget tongue.gif

Thanks bro.

By the way, i have 1 day to spare for either hakone, chureito pagoda or kawaguchiko lake from TOKYO. Which do you think is worth it during autumn (late november). This is my first time in Japan.

hello, tried to buy disneyland tokyo direct from their website, but no online option type despite the webpage telling it can give eticket.

klook and kkday no more selling it. any other recommended options to buy from that could straightaway printout the tickets and use it? or there never was such convenience before  icon_question.gif

I just bought it online directly from disney website. Oddly, only MASTERCARD is working for the transaction. All my VISA cards were declined.

Which website did you guys used to buy bus tickets travelling from TOKYO (preferbably Shinjuku station) to Churito pagoda and lake kawaguchi areas?

I found one at but not sure reliable or not: https://highway-buses.jp/course/kawaguchiko.php

Should I buy in advance or just buy it on the day itself?

Hi all,
Referencing from this website: https://www.highwaybus.com/gp/inbound/inbRo...119#routeSearch

I am planning to travel from “Shinjuku Express Bus Terminal” to “Shimoyoshida bus station” and our ultimate destination is “Chureito Pagoda/Arakurayama Sengen Park”.

If I were to select my destination to “Chuo EXPWY Shimoyosida”, where exactly will the bus stops at? Is it still a walking distance to Chureito Pagoda from there?

Hopefully there are some bros/sis who used this bus service before... thanks for your help!

I am using the guide from here as this is my first time to the area: https://livejapan.com/en/in-tokyo/in-pref-f...GYM8OkZ0IJODicQ

Let me know if this could still be improved based on your experience?

Google Map tells me its one those standalone bus stops just off the highway
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.501885,138....33;8i6656?hl=en

I don't think you want to get off here unless you know ur directions.
*
I got an answer via email from the bus vendor that I i think might be beneficial to some if they are planning the same route, though I am not going to do it anymore due to the hassle... i am going with the tour instead this time.

Dear Sir/Madam

It takes about 30 minutes by walk from Chuo EXPWY Shimoyoshida bus stop
to Arakurayama sengen Park.

You can check the map and timetable following URL.

https://www.highwaybus.com/gp/inbound/inbTi...100&upDownKbn=2

Please click Chuo EXPWY Shimoyoshida to see the map.

Thank you.

Best regards.

I bought a bunch of attraction tickets and tours from Klook mobile app. Do we need to print all these tickets out in hard copy or we could just present/scan it via our mobile?

Any experience guys?
