Yea simple web browsing & social media usage only. Better spend more time offline while being overseas lol.
I'm planning to utilize the Amazing Osaka Pass (2 days). Just wanna check with people who had similar experience, may I know if my itinerary is too hectic or rush? Assuming I'm going to kick off my day at 10am & retire back to the hotel at 10pm. The journey will most likely be via train + walking.

Day 1
Sakuya Konohana Kan
Osaka Castle
Utsubo Park
Kuromon Ichiba Market
Dotonbori

Day 2
Nagai Botanical Garden
Osaka Tennoji Zoo
Keitakuen Garden
Kuromon Ichiba Market (optional)
Dotonbori (optional)
Umeda Sky Building

Are there any other "highly recommended to go" places that I missed out?

You would definitely need to rush through all your attractions in a day. I would say you would need 3 days to do all the attractions stated above. Arrange your itinerary according to the location of the attraction to save time so you need not travel in and out and waste time.

Yea, just came back. It's actually possible without being that rush. But it's too much walking, so my feet can't make it lol laugh.gif

Anyway for those who planning to visit Kuromon Market. Among the many "cook as you pick" seafood sellers, there's 1 that is run by PRC. You may want to avoid that shop. IMO they serve overpriced sub-quality food.

I didnt sit down and eat there. The market was too busy and cramped during my visit and you have to sit on those little benches on the side or front part of the shop while shoppers and shop workers hurry up and down the alley behind your back is just not my idea of a quiet dinner. biggrin.gif

Unless they speak to you in mandarin, how would you even know if they are PRC 😂

Yea it's pretty obvious, welcomes you in Mandarin, talks all the way in Mandarin & very rush. From the way they talk too, can easily tell they're immigrants.

Day 9
Morning: Shirakawago
After wander around Ainokura Village and took photo at the viewpoint, took bus back to Shirakawago explore remaining of the area and took bus again to Takaoka Station for Light Up Tour.

Evening: Shirakawago Light Up
From Takaoka I joined the Kaetsunou bus tour to Shirakawago for Light Up. Apparently the Shiroyama viewpoint usually open for public to ascend during daylight is closed during light up and only allow descend. Anyway the viewpoint is crazily crowded during the light up but the view is really magical so can see why so much ppl flock to there. rclxm9.gif  After that return to Takaoka from Shirakawago I took overnight bus to Tokyo from Toyama.

I read that the Shiroyama Viewpoint is now closed to public at night.

That means you have to go back all the way to Takaoka (to join the tour) just to see the Shirakawago Light Up?

Its possible since China's Golden Week Holiday starts 1st October. Better not risk it unless you really cant change your timing...?

Since you have booked your ticket there is nothing you can do. It wont be too bad actually cause Oct is between season and not a really peak season for tourist.

Osaka anyday also crowded with chinese tourist d bcox is most nearest city to china. They mostly at namba area due to sapu cosmetics & drugs. I been to tokyo & sapporo in October before. Yes chinese crowd is a lot but still ok la... Not like those zerg rush crowd. If i not mistaken, October is low peak period in japan so hotel tend to be cheaper compare with other months.

Ah then it's very simple. You're down to the option of either changing your flight or, going as it is.

If it's the latter option, then I'll say no point worrying about what's going to happen because it's uncertain. From what the others mentioned, it may not be as bad - since early October has yet to enter the peak of Autumn season. Plan ahead, or plan better to manage the situation such as probably have early lunch or late dinner to avoid the crowd.

went 3 years back. early oct
crowded? yes, but then it always crowded. my advice, go early to famous area. otherwise visit someplace less touristy/famous n remote.

manage to visit Fushimi Inari without much ppl, can see wild cats loitering around there.
manage to visit Togetsukyo bridge with less than 10ppl on the bridge, same goes with Bamboo Forest.
1st on the line in Osaka Castle (not worthy tho)
