QUOTE(5p3ak @ Sep 23 2019, 08:32 AM) Yes no problem at all. If you think coins are a hassle, some places accept IC card as payment. Just top up money to the card and use it as payment. Thanks again fr all ur feedback.

Really sucks now I just realised my time there coincided with their golden week. Really paiseh having to crowd with mainland Chinese.

Thanks for the feedback again.
Yeah, strong winds which lowers the actual temps is what I'm worried about.
Around Genting temps eh? I think maybe mid-late Oct would suit my group just fine.

QUOTE(jam_lennon @ Sep 23 2019, 03:33 PM) any good chauffeur service can recommend in sapporo? We are 8 ppl and that are 5 old folks and 1 toddlers In ur case, you might want to get a local tour guide who can make necessary car arrangements had bring your group around. Usually can find them in FB which you can contact them and also see reviews. It won't be cheap for sure, but it saves hassle of actually driving, finding places, and understanding what ur sightseeing.

QUOTE(Omochao @ Sep 24 2019, 09:04 AM) From Malaysia to Japan. The cigarettes here are expensive. 480yen to 500 yen per box. I'm just asking not forcing. Cuz I know it would be suspicious for people to help carry items like this for an unknown stranger I'll be staying for almost more than a month in Tokyo. What I was told, Japan cigs more gooder than MY cigs worrr. You pay for good quality stuff.

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Sep 24 2019, 09:43 AM) Malaysia Cigs are more better than Japan. more kaw kaw. Even you go taste cis in Singapore will immediately feel the big differences. Japan & Singapore cigs are more into blend side. Not sure, cause I don't smoke. Was told by my smoker friend only, haha. He said their smaller cigs meant more can be packed and each stick is slow burning unlike MY ones that burns quickly. More puff per dollar, I guess.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 24 2019, 10:37 AM) My Japan colleagues just arrived in KL office today and so happy to ask them a lot of questions about my JP trip. One of them is from Nagasaki and got to know one of my ex-JP colleagues moved to Fukuoka. By the way, I may drop by to Klook event this weekend. It seems to have 20% discount for Japan, I wonder if it includes USJ Express tickets... Hai hai! Can help ask ur Nagasaki kolik what good souvenirs to get that is not food? Like some handicraft or something? Thanks

QUOTE(tailangong @ Sep 24 2019, 11:34 AM) Yo, any backpacker accommodation to recommend? Going Tokyo for olympic 2020 and most probably will purchase the national jr pass. Airbnb and ryokan are very expensive in Tokyo So don't mind to stay further from city as long as jr rail is nearby If backpack and you just want cheapest possible, can try capsule hotel. Apparently, just to sleep it is quite comfy (according to utube review lah).

QUOTE(tailangong @ Sep 24 2019, 03:06 PM) capsule hotel also not that cheap in Tokyo.. but plan to offtrade it by going other cities with shikansen hmm, personally I kinda wary of backpackers lodges that are too cheap to be true. They might try to cram as much people inside. Japan houses are already quite small and to cram more people inside can be real fire hazard as houses usually don't have adequate fire protection. When I think of Kyoani office fire, I am quite concern on that. But ur best bet is probably backpackers FB. I remember watching an NHK documentary episode about these funky backpackers lodgings in Tokyo, dang can't remember what the places are but mostly is catered to Western tourist who have more money than Asian backpackers. QUOTE(tailangong @ Sep 24 2019, 05:29 PM) No choice bro, travelling on budget. Not enough headcounts to share rental for an AirBnB per night. Or you have any recommendation for affordable one albeit further but easy access to JR rails? Well if you can stomach some discomfort and being squeamish, hehehe..... I read some extreme kamsiap examples are 24hr manga cafes (is smallish thus the discomfort), and love hotels (the squeamish, hahahaha). These go by the hour so you really only pay what you use. The outgoing optimistic and friendly person type would probably find fast friends in Tokyo and bunk with them (rotate after couple of days). QUOTE(tailangong @ Sep 24 2019, 06:34 PM) Trying to find around 400/night or lower if possible If going with girls then can use this as an excuse to go love hotel Lemme check around. Thanks bro But honestly at RM400, capsule hotels in Tokyo is within ur budget lah. Maybe a bit further from the center will go much lower. QUOTE(skydrake @ Sep 27 2019, 09:21 PM) I'm trying to get b1f1 for usj 1.5d tickets, however.. from what I reads in klook site it linked to usj 1d ticket only. do u think it is possible to apply on usj 1.5d? else, if not applicable.. i still wish to get 20% at least something promo on site. if non of abv, no meaning i go to klook fest 😕 It would be best to get the right info from Klook officially direct. Too many contradiction and maybe the previous rule was superseeded?
