Really sucks now I just realised my time there coincided with their golden week. Really paiseh having to crowd with mainland Chinese.

Is it advisable for senior citizens to go Japan in Nov then? I have some in our travel group together and I worry they cannot take too cold weather.

Yeah, strong winds which lowers the actual temps is what I'm worried about.

Around Genting temps eh? I think maybe mid-late Oct would suit my group just fine.

In ur case, you might want to get a local tour guide who can make necessary car arrangements had bring your group around. Usually can find them in FB which you can contact them and also see reviews. It won't be cheap for sure, but it saves hassle of actually driving, finding places, and understanding what ur sightseeing.

What I was told, Japan cigs more gooder than MY cigs worrr. You pay for good quality stuff.

Not sure, cause I don't smoke. Was told by my smoker friend only, haha. He said their smaller cigs meant more can be packed and each stick is slow burning unlike MY ones that burns quickly. More puff per dollar, I guess.

hmm, personally I kinda wary of backpackers lodges that are too cheap to be true. They might try to cram as much people inside. Japan houses are already quite small and to cram more people inside can be real fire hazard as houses usually don't have adequate fire protection. When I think of Kyoani office fire, I am quite concern on that.

But ur best bet is probably backpackers FB. I remember watching an NHK documentary episode about these funky backpackers lodgings in Tokyo, dang can't remember what the places are but mostly is catered to Western tourist who have more money than Asian backpackers.

Well if you can stomach some discomfort and being squeamish, hehehe..... I read some extreme kamsiap examples are 24hr manga cafes (is smallish thus the discomfort), and love hotels (the squeamish, hahahaha). These go by the hour so you really only pay what you use.

The outgoing optimistic and friendly person type would probably find fast friends in Tokyo and bunk with them (rotate after couple of days).
