In the time it takes you to get a response you could’ve easily googled Tokyo rainfall and gotten the answer for yourself.

Anyway Jan/Feb nice and cold but not unbearably so. I always do a few days in Tokyo around that time on my way to ski.

Nowadays weather so unpredictable. Myoko kogen when I went to ski last year, by end Jan they already got almost 11m of snowfall. This year end Jan barely got 2.5m. With this kind of winter, don’t know whether Sakura will end up being mid March or not 😂

Anyway my trip 28Mar - 05Apr, hope it coincides with peak 😂

Had a baby in September so a bit too early 😂
Next season maybe can ski again but toddler will be too young, so if end up going then will have to dump him at childcare at the ski resort (both side parents in MY not SG so can’t ask them to babysit also).

A lot of Japanese are already wearing masks regularly all the while even when there is no outbreak. So, not to worry. They are courteous enough to wear mask if they are sick.

Even the PRC, HKnites, Taiwanese, and Korean tourists were wearing masks when I was there last week.

Just watch out for the South East Asians (especially Thais, Malaysians, and Indonesians).

I encountered numerous Thais, Malaysians, and Indonesians there in Japan and they don't bother to wear masks when they were coughing/sneezing. At least the PRCs were wearing masks.

Even when I landed in KLIA, again the same thing. Even the PRCs were wearing masks here. And again I saw our locals coughing here and there without covering their mouth.

"A Chinese woman visiting the Japanese city of Ito -- on a peninsula south of Tokyo -- said that a server at a restaurant shouted “Chinese! Out!” at her, according to a recording shared on a Weibo account.

The recording, which included a subsequent phone call to the unnamed eatery, was shared by a reporter from Hong Kong-based Phoenix TV.

A woman who answered the phone at the restaurant said it was refusing customers from China and Southeast Asia because the owner was worried about the coronavirus, according to the recording. “If our owner contracts the virus and dies, whose responsibility is it then?” she said."

If you're Chinese, don't speak Chinese lor unsure.gif

My elderly mom want to defer date of travel (in March with MAS eco)

Do we need rebook the flight at same time we cancel the flight?

We cancel the ticket first and rebook the flight later right?

I think better call up MAS customer service and ask them for the right procedure. The good thing about these national carriers are you get better customer help and more lenient allowances for changes.
