I'm going for a ski trip with buddies to hokkaido this Jan, but this time there's going to be 2 infants with us (both around 6 months old).

For those of you who have traveled with kids younger than 5 years to a cold climate, could you share some tips you may have with respect to making the trip as comfortable as possible for both parents and child.

We've already done preparations on our end with regards to clothing and having a relaxed itinerary where the kids are mostly going to be indoors, but I'd like to hear from you in case we missed out on anything.

been there...did you enter the castle?

Not enter the castle because I have OAP. Need to be fast to get all free facilities.

Between ginkakuji and kinkaguji which one to be worth to visit?

Kinkakuji is really packed but there is a fixed route to follow so you'll be following the crowd to go around the temple complex. Once you had a look at the golden structure there is pretty much ntg else. It looks really nice though.

Gingakuji is nicer and slightly less crowded with lots more to see but it doesn't have the grandeur of Kinkakuji. It's also easier to pair in an itinerary with some other attractions along the Phil's Path.

No experience but just curious, the parents gonna drop the babies off at nursery (I guess at the hotel you’re staying at) and go skiing?

The kids will be in the hotel, adults will alternate to take care of them. Only some of the adults will be skiing the whole day from morning to night.

Hello guys, I will be going to JP this christmas eve.
I will be landing at Narita going to Tokyo -> Osaka -> Kyoto -> Nagano -> Tokyo.

I checked the trip and it shows that getting a Whole Japan JR Pass is more worth it. So I found this :
https://www.klook.com/en-MY/activity/1420-7...l-pass-jr-pass/
RM 1104 per person. Is it safe and okay to buy through here?

After booking I just go to KLIA and pick up my exchange order then I redeem and activate the first time through JR counter and my 7days start from there?

How about between kiyomizudera and ginkakuji? I have gone to Phil's path but disappointed because all maple leaves all gone.

Yasaka worth to visit because have maruyama Park. Chion-in just ok.

I can say I fall in love with kyoto. Osaka and Tokyo once in lifetime is enough. Kyoto must go back. Osaka just like Singapore nothing much there. Kobe is like KL. Kyoto is another level. However, I will target hokkaido-sapporo if go to Japan again.

Yup, buying through Klook is pretty straightforward.
We got our exchange orders in the mail 7 business days after ordering.

Just bring the exchange order with your passport to the JR counters when you arrive and exchange it for the actual pass.

You don't have to start your 7 days immediately after you exchange, you can tell then the specific date that you want it activated. And you can also reserve your seats for all the rides provided you know the date and time of each ride.
