I'm curious, how much do they earn? Say those who are doing their housemanship in local hospitals. I see some of my friends and relatives, they work like crazy. Like got no more nyawa anytime I see them.

So as a ballpark, how much do they earn per month / per year?

rm3K plus, certain times : need to work 20-36H continuously(break in between is just imaginary and only exists on papers).

If you are born in Peninsular and posted in Sabah: you could get RM 900 extra.

Normal working hours: about 12-14 hours a day, 6-6.5 days a week , depends on postings.

Point is not “easily” at all, to hit 10k as a new MO with locum literally means you work 7 days a week and hours of locum after your regular work hours. Is not easy

I thought you have to serve the government 4 years mandatory? 2 years HO and 2 years MO, what are the implications of leaving after 2 years HO to private ?

Mana ada gaji 10K gila. Houseman usually gaji like basic degree worker in gov. + allowances, lepas tu OT macam nak mati. No wonder doctor sometimes also bunuh diri.

Usually houseman 4K something after get OT (on-call). After 2 year need to work at hospital summore. Nak aman sikit can do locum at klinik.

Private memang boleh, but we are talking about after 2 years housemanship, i thought usually there is a 4 years mandatory to serve the government, so is it really that "Easy" as some claim here to get 10k after 2 years

Trust me i have a bunch of doctor friends , and none of them wants to work like what you say even though they are singles. You know they need to be on-call, and after on call for 36 hours they have to go straight for locum just so they can hit 10k a month, and they are literally getting no rest at all. Not sure if that to you is consider easy.

I think most junior doctors become Gred UD41 upon getting your medical degree or housemanship. Here are the gaji

For those who are doctors, how accurate is this?

Also, I don't imagine this captures the full extent of the issue, especially for those who're still finding their placements.

Is accurate smile.gif as long as you are a doctor under Ministry of Health, not sure for those doctors nowadays who are under contract instead of a permanent placement

Not sure about the grades. Did the government change Rhett grades recently?
