HI all,

I recently have stiff shoulders, stiff back and sometimes an easily sprained neck while doing work (deskbound job). Some of my friends have recommended me to go to a chiropractor but some who did say chiropractor is a waste of money and time.

any advice?

People don't go to chiropractor weekly - only when it's unconformable/unbearable.

if massage what kind of massage leh? last week there was a chiro road show i went to test and they use the handheld device with 4 metal contacts one. apparently it is used to measure muscle usage (to stabilise the back shoulder etc) and report show my muscles very tense due to incorrectly spine alignment. then ask me take up a 10 session chiro course or something. i mean usually i don't care but recently back really damn stiff

some says chiropractic is a hoax but personally i think it does provide you temporary relief. However, once you started chiropractic you will keep need to go back because the fix is not permanent. Meanwhile, I personally think that real solution for any back ache, stiff shoulder is probably fixing your posture and one of the best way is going yoga/gym or even do regular exercise that strengthens your muscle. Unless your backbone is crooked, then yes you will need to be adjusted by a chire, otherwise not needed

Chiropractic is a sugarcoated word.

This technique existed for century.

I went to one in jb, chinese people call it "pull bone"...
Went there, lie down, one people hold hands, one work on the legs, pull here pull there, flip me around, tekan my spine and pull and push, also pull my neck etc etc...
Keep hearing crack crack sound.

Felt fucking good afterwards, better than orgasm (true story)
Whole body longgar, neck also longer abit, sparetyre also gone...

Apparently our bones are very stiff, need to loosen it once in a while.
But i can tell u one thing, it felt better than orgasm.

The one i went was in JB... cost rm20, 9 years back
like someone said before, it comes together with TCM where the sifu will issue u some chinese medicine
not to cure disease but to see what u lack of and improve overall.

you can try to search 拉骨中心...
i heard wah toh tit tar got such service

It's not easy to find a good sifu though, because the way they twist and crack your neck, it looks like in movie people twisted the neck and die immediately
scary yet satisfying

I must also say chiropractic would increase your height.
Its not increase height, it's just that due to all the improper posture, our leg bone tend to get push up to the back of our hip, experienced sifu would know how to see by the way a person is standing and by the shape of their butt

I went with my co worker and we did her first.
The sifu worked on 1 of her legs, he pulled it by using technique, and i can clearly see that both legs are not the same length anymore, difference for abt 1-2 inches, and he then proceed to pull another leg and balance them.

Which explains why i mentioned before the sparetyre on ur hips will be gone too, not because it vanishes, its just being pulled and spread / distributed evenly.

for your case i would recommend visiting a physio is much better than chiro.... i have friends from medical background telling me actually the layman term to differentiate between both is chiro deal with your spine and physio deal with everything other than spine....

people tends to mixed up with both....i actually visited a physio introduced by a friend with some long term shoulder ache....he treated me and immediately felt good after 1 treatment.....

prefer physio with their concept of how to improve your performance or condition rather than like chiro asking u not to do this that in the long run....

btw physio doesnt really charge that high....
