Searching for a monitor around RM600. A good 24” ips monitor and not for a long term use. Usually use for gaming and movies. Dell, acer and etc

Edit : prefer thin bezel

Can get VA panels for 600 plus. Try acer ED242qr for gaming. Otherwise many ips displays in online shops.

Not really heavy gamer, but I do play fps games and moba games. So a VA panel monitor is also a good deal compare to ips?

Ive had an LG 29UM68 before but I dont really satisfied with its color compare to my dell u2417h. Sold both of them because I move to a new house and now I rebuild a new rig with rtx2070.

Currently using rtx2070, will get a decent gsync monitor soon. But for temporary m gonna use any ips monitor with that budget. Few years ago am using dell u2417h, satisfied with the monitor but I sold it already. Till now I never follow any news or update about latest monitor. About refresh rates, i dont really care so much, 60hz vsync is also enough. Im only into ips color rclxm9.gif

u2417h also had this monitor , but this is 1k rm.

cheapest DELL s2419h is around 700rm.

options are ACER or LG , but i would stay away from ACER due to poor panel quality around this range.

Well if you don't mind glossy panel, then DELL S2419H is your best bet. I have one and I like it. Complements well with my AOC C24G1.

I have an Acer kg241 and I find the panel pretty good so maybe shouldn't make this kind of general statement unless you have a verified source or at least add IMO.

i don't want to argue, specs is below if OP to check. i'm saying it because the OP wants image quality and color accuracy, compare this to a dell s2419h panel and see if its a good panel.

Plus this kg241 is in the 700rm range, i'm talking in genaral 500rm range of acers, please read.

https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/69fa14ec - acer
https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/e1d31203 - dell

that monitor is only good for gaming, panel quality is average and color is washed out.

my opinion is, it depends on your preference on curved monitor.
if you're okay with curve then view sonic , if don't want curved then acer.

this thing i don't know and tested.
there are topics discussing this, some monitors was compatible and some are not.

Nvidia haven't released an official list of supported monitors.

ED242QR user here brows.gif

It's a really good monitor (if you can live with the curve, that is). The colors are pretty good (you'll need to download and use the color profiles from Acer's support website), and the 144Hz refresh rate just makes everything very smooth brows.gif

For gaming purpose then VA panels work fine too.

However if you insist on IPS then we have VX2476-SMHD at RM 579, and there's also the VA2419-SH at RM 499.
