the only possibility i can think of is the firmware is not compatible with playtv app.

similarly, i think it also not work with astrogo - u can try it to be sure.
there are like a thousand boxes to buy.... best to check if it will run this or that b4 u buy.

that means the unroot switching is incomplete, failed to hide complete.

there may be other ways to deal with this incl use of modified apk.

but i dunno enough, cannot advise... just be careful not to brick the box... all the best.

I'm using Playtv unifi tablet mod apk version 7.9.2 (someone shared here) on my OEM box. it work all the way.
But after unifi resume back all FOX channels in playtv, I cannot play any of the FOX channel using this version (but others channel still work like normal).

Any new update mod apk for this? (original apk cant work on my OEM box)

b'coz ur android box is rooted. before buy android box, read the full spec box. xiomi mi box  can used unifi@playtv.

I am replying to my own post. As it seems, the protection scheme used by TM apk is very nasty. I just decompile and compile it back ( without changing any code ), it will automatically fail to work.

Looks like it is detecting something about originality of its own apk, and conpared with what is stored on the server.  I would need to go down quite deep into the code to see if that can be fooled.

So don't bother to pm me for now. LOL.
