What do you mean charge you 1 time, is that you no need to pay for subsequent month or they already help you to terminate it?
I think due to the confusing design of the slides on the activation portal, some will wrongly click the subscription button on third slide instead of activation on first slide.
If you click "subscribe" it will show the RM8.90 as what you saw. How you solve the problem?

For those who already activated the free access of iQiyi that willing to help can try to activate again the free access in order to verify the error message showed?

I don't know here You have subscribed selected Streaming Apps via Ala Carte is that means I need to pay for every month or even the redemption of free access also consider subscribed selected Streaming Apps via Ala Carte.

I chat with Unifi, she said since I click "subscribe" so yes I need to pay for it. It is different with what you mention "charge 1 time". Do you means they help you to unsubscribe it or it will auto FOC in following month even you click "subscribe" instead of "Activate Now" ?

I see, I also do it due to the same sms. I think I am same situation with you. Do you subscribed to any TV pack plan such as Ruby TV Plan? I am not UPB user, is that mean we not qualify for free access? Are you sure it is not auto renew? Because I request customer service to terminate it. You no need to terminate it?

I think they took out your TV plan after you upgrade the plan. Anyway thank you for your info to clear my doubts too.
Since already subscribed for 1 month then just enjoy it. No choice. smile.gif

If in your new bill don't have any TV plan then I think they are not going to provide you the free access for streaming app, at least currently the policy is like that.
As what you mention you still can watch the Unifi TV channels, do you test on those channels for Ruby plan only for example those Chinese channels? Because you still can watch all the free channels without any TV plan if not mistaken.

Just an update for you, I had consult two different Unifi customer services through live chat. Both of them told me the subscription for iQiyi will auto renew for the following months unless you submit a termination request. I don't know which info is correct but this is just for your reference. If they charge you in the future then remember to stop it.

Yes, I think you are not the only case. Me too. Their design is very misleading. Please let us know your update and how finally solve the issue. Actually they force us to pay the charges is quite unfair. They ask me to request terminate and then activate but the 1 month charges already there. I think should request them to waive the fee.

Thank you for your update, I already submitted my termination request and follow up a few times but they seem purposely keep no process at all. This kind of business skill very bad. If they drag the subscription to the next billing cycle I will complain and condemn them as serious as I can and refuse to pay. Since I got all the proofs that I already request the cancellation long time ago.

Yes no choice need to follow up until make sure they totally terminated for us. Actually is quite frustrated, they ask us to activate it which is free. Now due to the misleading design they cause this problem for us which can be avoid from the start.

When you login to the www.unifi.com.my (PC version) there is a "My Activity" at the bottom.
When you click into it, you can track all your previous complaint/service request.
If the issue haven't settle yet it will be in open status. You can provide that service request number for helpdesk to follow up your case easily, no need keep repeat it.

Hi, just for your info, there is a customer service call me just now to confirm my termination. That is exactly what the helpdesk told me they will call me to confirm the termination in 3 working days (but they do it on the fourth working days and after my keen follow up). You should get the callback or the reply of the email.

Yes I received that Chinese SMS today. After the customer service called me, he confirm the termination will be done within 24 hours. After about 2 or 3 hours, I try to activate the free access and tada....I can perform the activation already. Before that it will be failed and show I have ala carte subscription. Indirectly means they already terminate my ala carte subscription already. Anyway still need to pay for one month fee as a lesson dry.gif .

You can try to redeem the free access to iQiyi, you don't need really to do it but just try the first step of redemption. If it show you are entitled and allow you go to next step then means they already terminated your ala carte subscription. For waiving the fee I think since you already fight for it then just wait for the outcome. If they still remain the charges then up to you whether you want to take the further actions or not. But frankly speaking since we click the subscribe button accidentally, this is big con for the further fight for the fee waiver.
