wish TM could integrate Unifi PlayTV with the Live Tv app on Android TV. just like the Pluto or Xumo in the US. more customizable plus google assistant would work haha

I had the same problem.. just bought an android TV and downloaded & installed the UnifiTV app from playstore.  I can't login due to the "account not migrated" problem.  It took me more than a month, with 4 calls to 100 number, 1 visit to small TM Point centre, 2 visits main TM Point centre (Kajang branch), 1 online technician call and 2 technician on premise visit before the problem being resolved.  My last visit to the main TM Point centre resolved it, it took them only a day to resolve or to actually "migrate" my account from where to where also I don't know.

I think not many of their technicians and call centers reps knows about this problem and how to resolve it.  Most of the time they will resort to resetting the password which of ocurse didn't help.  The last technician who came to my house and actually saw the error message also wasn't familiar with the problem.  He then called his helpdesk and the answer he gave was they can't do much because the account migration is being done by the system and they don't know when it'll be done.  I then went to the main TM Point centre and I did some test with the call center agent.  Like you mentioned above there're actually two Unifi TV app in app store (did the test on my iPhone), true enough I can log in one app (the old one) but can't log in the other one (the newer one) with the same error message as my Android TV.  I beleive the one in my Android TV was the new version.  Only then he had better understanding of the problem.  Prior to the test, he told me that the UnifiTV app is probably not compatible with my Android TV hence why I can't login. He then propose that I sign-ip for the TM UnifiTV device.  I almost did, but after we did the test on my iPhone, he told me that he'll try to resolve it (on the account migration), if fail then I shall proceed with the UnifiTV box subscription.  He called me the next day and ask me to login my Andorid TV and it was successful.

Like I say, most likely the techs & call centres are not well verse with the problem yet as the new app is new.  You probably need to try to demonstrate it to them.  TQ

Same here. Called Unifi many times for almost a week, all they tried is to reset the password. What did the trick for me was their Unifi Live Chat. But had to do that multiple times as well.
Somehow, guess I got lucky, one of the chat rep knows what I'm talking about. It's like a hit or miss as not all rep knows.

Soon after replacing my dead CAT 6 cable, my white STB ran into similar problem again. Definitely not cable problem. Direct cable from router no problem. The STB and an AP was at living room, router in store room, using single cable carrying both VLAN 500 & 600. It was fine for years, until I changed my APs to TP-Link Decos. Probably something was not compatible when Decos came in. Tried my old Powerline to bring VLAN 600 to STB no longer worked.

After 2 days trying, I gave up & bought Mi Box S. White STB probably better video quality (8 Mbps old codec vs 4 Mbps new codec) but not that big difference to me. White STB is laggy but on Android TV it's smooth. I do miss the mosaic view though.

Later will migrate Kodi from Raspberry Pi to this new box.

not sure what u on about and this is probably not directly related to unifi tv, but are you using the M9 decos for white stb?
what is your main router that connects to modem? weird that the vlan Powerline trick didn't work.

I had a lot of trouble with the M9 decos as 2nd APs. cat6 cable running from modem to main router, then another cable from main router to first deco.
vlan to stb didn't work if I set the first pcs as repeater.. also not getting full speed. getting 100mbps max on a 500mbps plan with 5ghz wifi. feel like the trouble is actually with TP link decos. m9 (2pcs) worth like rm900 retail but idk i find it useless.. glad that it was provided foc. i'm quite certain that I did everything right. I tried using as main router too and various setup method, similar problems.

vlan does work on the main router, on asus blue cave. and powerline works well too since i have another tv in a different room.
a month later I ended up buying asus rt86u and use aimesh to my main, everything since just works for me. then i bought another. massive damage to my pockets tho.
i have various spare routers and imo tplinks & dlinks are the worst bunch for "extraordinary" setup.

Is it still possible to get extra STB for additional RM20 per month?

Depending on your situation, I would suggest the following options - the reason is simple, no contract renewal:

a) buy a 2nd hand STB off shopee/lazada whatever, use the same id, no problem
I did this 2 years ago - all you need to do once you get the stb, is to go to their live chat, then tell them to register the MAC address of that new device to the account.

b) if you're into fancy stuff, get a google-certified android tv box (such as mi box s, mi stick, chromecast v4 etc etc), go to their playstore, just download unifi tv and sign in (only available on google-certified android tv os..)
I did this a year ago.

c) if one of your tv is a smart tv, running a certified android tv, then you don't have to buy anything, no cost. just download the unifi tv app.
I'm currently doing it like this for my 2nd tv in my room.

d) if you can't be bothered with the above options, call unifi and they will have some offer but mostly would include contract renewal (2 years gaddemit) or extra charge monthly basis.
I would not recommend this option but hey, easy route.
