There's no option.

The only way to exclude premium Malay & Indian channels is to use parental lock.

Until December 12. The regular prices shown earlier apply to non‑Unifi subscribers.

Below are the standard rates for Unifi subscribers instead. These TV packs are essentially the same as the previous offering — only its name has changed.

Max Plus Pack = RM60 (all 73 linear channels incl. HBO)
Disney+ Pack = RM60 (69 linear channels excl. HBO) — previously known as the Ultimate Pack
Super Star Pack = RM139

Wira Pack = RM30
Ying Xiong Pack = RM30
Veeran Pack = RM30

Well, after they update to new packs, I found out that I can't really change the streaming packs anymore (you can actually swap when necessary) - on the now grandfathered Ruby Plus pack - that actually offer more channels (for now). Maybe there are technical issues on it.

Actually, there are no more channels like BBC News and most kids channels, on the updated pack (Ying Xiong).

The old Aneka Plus, Ruby Plus and Varnam Plus actually have these channels - the new version have zero of these - so not really a simple rebrand.

You're right, my bad. There’s an important caveat here: even though the standard price is the same, there are notable differences. In this case, Ying Xiong vs Ruby Plus.

1) What's missing?

Category In Ruby Plus Pack Missing in Ying Xiong Pack
General Entertainment AXN, BBC Lifestyle, Warner TV; BBC First VOD All four not included
Kids CBeebies, DreamWorks, Moonbug, Nick Jr. All four not included
News Al Jazeera, BBC News Both not included
Streaming Apps TVBAnywhere+ VOD Zone (fixed) iQIYI Premium (switchable)

2) Its gains & losses

Category Lost from Ruby Plus Pack Gained in Ying Xiong Pack
General Entertainment AXN, BBC Lifestyle, Warner TV; BBC First VOD SETI HD (Taiwanese drama & variety)
Kids CBeebies, DreamWorks, Moonbug, Nick Jr. Miao Mi VOD (Mandarin kids channel)
News Al Jazeera, BBC News Global Trekker VOD (travel & culture)
Streaming Apps TVBAnywhere+ VOD Zone (fixed) iQIYI Premium (switchable monthly to other Asian OTT apps)
General Mix Slightly broader international mix in Ruby Plus Pack Stronger Chinese‑language focus in Ying Xiong Pack

To recap, the Ying Xiong Pack leans harder into Chinese content — adding SETI HD and iQIYI Premium, plus Miao Mi VOD for Mandarin‑speaking kids, and Global Trekker VOD for travel/culture fans.
Overall shift: From a multi‑genre Asian mix (Ruby Plus Pack) → to a Chinese‑centric entertainment pack (Ying Xiong Pack).

What's different between the old Aneka Plus/Ruby Plus/Varnam Plus and the new Wira/Ying Xiong/Veeran pack?

Channels that are available on Aneka/Ruby/Varnam but NOT on new Wira/Ying Xiong/Veeran - you need to know before upgrading to new packs - if you change packs to save money, you will lose these channels, so if you do enjoy these channels, you may want to take a note on it:

English entertainment : AXN Asia, BBC Lifestyle, Warner TV, BBC First (VOD)
Kids : Moonbug, Nick Jr., Ceebies Asia, DreamWorks
News : BBC News (World), Al Jazeera English

Other channels are the same (including language based channels + 1 Asian streaming app) for both old and new packs.

For now Aneka/Ruby/Varnam (for some technical reasons) aren't able to swap Asian streaming services.

The revamped Star Pack at RM8 (promo) give access to 36 channels - which rivals Sooka entertainment pack offer - this is the cheapest ever Unifi TV pack to date. It is the "basic cable offer" for Unifi TV.

BYO pack at RM16 (promo) give access to 16 free channels, 5 channels of your choice from 43 channels (except HBO channels, VOD and Sport channels), and 1 Asian streaming app - this is the new "ala carte" option. Great if you are certain that what channel you wanted to watch + you can swap easily each month. Before that, it is the inflexible and more expensive ala carte channels for non subscribers.

16 free channels remained available, as long as you maintain an Unifi TV 2.0 account.

Old Family Pack = Max Plus pack, Old Ultimate Pack = Disney+ pack.

I have also made a table for all Unifi TV channels and entitlement, with a Excel spreadsheet. You can refer the information by downloading the spreadsheet and clicking each cell.

If you have an existing Aneka/Ruby/Varnam pack with Unifi TV, everything will stay at it is, as long you do not change your subscription (including upgrade/downgrade internet speed or change pack). The new offer only affects people signing up or change pack on or after 13 Sept 2025.

Just to clarify

You mentioned gained in Ying Xiong: SETI HD

Isn't SETI also part of Ruby Plus?

TVB Anywhere can be "swapped" as the app of choice on Ying Xiong (the default is iQiyi) too - it is the reduction of channel numbers (10 less channels) for Ying Xiong when compared to Ruby Plus that matters the most - and yes Ruby Plus is still better, especially if you still want to watch children's content, BBC News, AXN and Warner TV.

Seems like Unifi TV purposely do so to made their Kids pack looked more attractive (the Kids pack only have Cartoon Network, Sony Yay and D+ Hotstar as it's selling point when compared to old language packs, all the other kids channels are available on old language based packs).
