yes, it is google ATV certified.

u should try it someday, then u know how good or bad as everyone says.

PQ is now better than astro go - this one, try to get those AHs to allow to play on ATV la...!! laugh.gif
*

One of my relative uses Chromecast with Google TV, and he managed to install Unifi TV app in it.
And yeah, I've done a hands-on on the app myself, so I've experience the good and the bad about the navigating the app, as well as observing the picture quality.

Unicast = the one that does not rely on Linear TV VLAN such as VLAN 600 (or VLAN 823), can watch using WiFi connection.
Multicast = the one you experience by using the Huawei white/silver box to watch Unifi TV, that relies on VLAN 600 and must use LAN cable

For me, I won't compare the picture quality I see on Unifi TV Unicast with Astro Go's one, since Astro Go is meant for on-the-go usage rather than "fixed setup" like watching on TV without relying on Astro box.
And yes, Astro Go quality is merely 720p, so of course it won't be as good as what we see on Unifi TV.
QUOTE(AVFAN @ Oct 22 2021, 10:10 PM)
surely u need to compare apples with apples.

u cannot compare dedicated box with android/ATV apps.

how about comparing astro box with netlfix (no box)?

or compare with appletv with box?
*

In that case, do you see any picture quality difference when watching Unifi TV over Unifi Plus Box vs any Google ATV certified boxes?

If you have Androids TV is it still a wise to buy the Unifi Androids Box at RM15 per month?
*
QUOTE(Max @ Oct 23 2021, 11:50 AM)
Mostly wont recommend to get .. all iptv app can install on ur android box / tv already..
*
QUOTE(enduser @ Oct 23 2021, 01:24 PM)
If u want to get android box, much cheaper to buy direct from shoppe or lazada.

That tm upb gonna cost u rm15x24=rm360.
Can get better box like mibox or km2 at below rm250
*

Or, you can consider Chromecast with Google TV too.
You can buy it online like Shopee or Lazada for around RM280.

Guys.. Help me out here, I got the same setup same plan. The only different is I dont have TX3 but I am using Skyworth Android TV instead with built in Android TV OS.

From the FAQ, it is clear there VIU is more bang for the bucks if we compare iQiyi vs VIU on which one should we choose.

user posted image

user posted image

I mean VIU cost more than iQiyi and it gave many more devices that can be streamed at one time compared to iQiyi.

My question to those who've done the claim process, Why you guys still go with iQiyi?
*

Most of the time, people choose their desired OTT platform (e.g. iQiyi) is likely because of the content offerings that suits the person's viewing preference, and not necessarily because of the price or whether it's worthwhile or not.

So eventually it all depends on your viewing preference. There's no right or wrong answer here, since everyone's viewing taste is different. If you're not sure whether to choose either iQiyi or Viu, you can browse their content library first, see if the shows interests you or not, and then only you decide.

What's very disappointing is the fact that Unifi Plus Box still can't use Netflix.
*

Just use other devices to watch Netflix.

Japan announced a tsunami warning.
For those who interested to see how the emergency announcement looks like, tune to NHK World Japan channel now.

Is this since last year not a fulfilled promise?
*

Is it a "promise" or it's just a "manifesto"?

If it's a "manifesto", that means they have no obligation that they must fulfil that. They "might try their best", but no guarantee. icon_idea.gif

My unifi TV app Android TV version I noticed recently very buggy la. Sometime remote button take times to respond. Sometime list of channels doesnt shows, sometimes "session timed out". Dont know why la. Already restart my mibox, sometime sign out sign in again. Still problem. Also subtitles problem. Especially on HITS movies. Sometimes out of sync sometime doesnt show at all...
*

Try press home>Settings>Apps
Unifi TV > Force stop > Clear cache

Next time whenever you face this issue again, just repeat the steps above. It works for me.

As for the out of sync subtitles issue, that one is Unifi TV's problem. This one have to complain to their customer service.

Everything is just remours la. My fren work inside that team so we just chit chat la. Many things but i promise cannot say until confirm la.

But surely la either movie or sports channel. Maybe both
*

Tell your friend that work inside that team, consider cross-carriage all Astro sports channels from CH800-820 into Unifi TV platform, and then charge a fee.

Astro haters, problem solved. 😅 Fair competition hahaha...

Hello, want to ask can I subscribe to Unifi TV using other internet service provided like time internet?

QUOTE(keithyan @ Apr 25 2022, 02:20 AM)
https://unifi.com.my/tv/support/unifitv

As per mentioned in faq,you must subscribe unifi
*

Or alternatively, ask your family/relative/friend that subscribe to Unifi, to give you their Unifi TV username (@iptv) and password, especially if they don't use the Unifi playTV at all.

And then, you can install Unifi playTV app on your phone, or Unifi TV app on your Android TV, and just login to the credentials there, and start watching right away.

Note: Each Unifi TV / Unifi playTV account has a device login limit of 2 devices.

For those who don't know, MENA stands for Middle East North Africa

admin unifi on fb just copy paste the answers..why he/she can't give the real answers. why need copy paste..🤣🤣🤣
*

Real and honest answer sometimes causes danger to them (i.e. damage reputation). Therefore, copy paste answers are used, mainly because:
  • because it's official answer, so "confirm safe" and won't say wrong thing one
  • official answer = look professional
  • look professional = enhances its reputation
  • say only the things that you like to hear
  • sometimes, it's almost like no difference compared to a robot

may I know the interface/remote, would it be harder for seniors to navigate?
Thanks

By looking at the remote control for this Unifi Plus Box, do you think it is hard for the elderly to operate? There's no channel number buttons.

Or maybe, the lesser the buttons, the better?

No more 2-min delay on both SPOTV & beIN Sports channels via unifi TV, at least with its program schedule as of today. Gotta keep an eye on them.
*

You filed a complaint about this 2 min delay to both Unifi TV and Astro? Nice thumbup.gif
Thank you for bringing "justice" to the sports fans out there biggrin.gif Delaying live sports feed for the sake of slotting in-house ads has no place here in Malaysia.

F1 is coming to beIN Sports. They definitely don't want another wave of complaints. That's probably why they remove the delay. However, I still see the so-called 1 min delay on beIN Sports 4.

Source: Sportbusiness - EXCLUSIVE: beIN Sports set to acquire Formula 1 rights in Asia-Pacific

"Pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports is finalising a multi-year deal beginning in 2023 for Formula 1 rights across its Asian markets, SportBusiness understands.

BeIN won the rights a few months ago during a sales process in which it is understood to have faced competition from broadcasters in several markets. The deal is understood to cover beIN's Asia-Pacific footprint, excluding Australia and New Zealand. This would mean it covers: Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Singapore."
*

I start to feel that Astro's legs are shaking.... sweat.gif

But hey, at least Astro is showing F1 in 4K UHD HDR while Unifi TV isn't (or maybe haven't?) .. hmm.gif

While it’s finally a good news for us unifi TV subscribers, it’s in SD still, and we’ve got TV2 only.

So if you want to watch more matches in full HD streaming, go to Play Store on UPB and install RTM Klik. You’ve got OKEY & Sukan RTM channels to choose beside TV2.
*

Or, watch it through digital TV platform (MYTV myfreeview).
TV2, TV Okey and RTM Sukan channels are all in Full HD there, and it's free...
All you need is just your TV antenna and a compatible TV/receiver. No internet connection required also means no risk of facing buffering issues.
