There are 9 channels under 2xx... from 201 to 239.

All 9 are available on stb and app.

This is ultimate... perhaps diff for other packs.

if unrooted and still can't work, it means it wasn't unrooted properly, incomplete.. and that happens.

If it is properly unrooted, it should work.

Official astrogo apk will also work.

Applies to many boxes incl tx6, tx3, tx5...

One check... u must use WIFI for this playtv app; ethernet will not work.

i had fully and permanently unrooted a tx5max using SUPERUSER app.

but many reviews warn of risk of bricking box... so, be careful.

i am not sure about tx6... maybe szecheng can assist.

if those photos show the real thing, it would suggest fox+ may be possible but not netflix.

anyway, all is pure speculation until it comes out or it doesn't.

unless unifi does a better job in communicating.

tx3 mini box and remote also look the same.

When the migration is authorized, the old app will go dead.

Then we know if new app will work on what devices.

s905x2 is relatively new; there are like a dozen brands which made boxes with this chipset.

another dozen or so with the newer s905x3.

2+8gb will be sufficient if it is restricted to playtv proprietory firmware, apps and UI.

however since it is ATV... even unrooted and "cracked", it will probably be unable to run astrogo.

i think there is a gradual migration from old app to new app - for both STB and playtv apk.

those with newer white boxes have been migrated.

those with old silver boxes not yet... maybe never... becos box too old, need change, must renew contract?

yes, old silver STB box no change.

those with old silver boxes haven't been migrated... maybe never, until u change to new STB.



as for the apk, the new one will not work - get message "your account haven't been migrated".

meanwhile the latest "old" apk is 7.9.11 dated 12 dec 2019.

it works fine on the usual devices - tablets, phones, compatible boxes.

BUT... bad news... it does NOT work on AndroidTV devices - ATV tv's, mibox included.

crap... unifi seems following astro footsteps to stop their app from being used on TV's.

for a certain chipset, there is only so much u can upgrade.

almost all android4 chipsets cannot get to even android5.

those started with 5 are capped at 7, some can go to 6 only.

current ones are at 9 but unlikely they can go 10.

tech moves very very fast...
