This is what I heard from how TM going forward and standardize with their new ott system vendor. On the box availability, I getting the free box every generation but in exchange renew contract.

Most probably they will announce some campaign on free box.

Either they kill it or just let the old stuff obsolete and retired naturally.

no such thing as free meal. they always will say free but renew unifi contract for 2 years

this will be sad... my parents still having a hard time transitioning to new interface so I revert to using the white box

Received SMS yesterday upgrading account for the new app. Tested the new app, UI looks slightly better but the main problem is still there. There is no setting to choose resolution/video quality??? Or is it hidden somewhere? Its crazy to be watching like 480p or 720p tv shows when my unifi speed is running 300mbps. Not even 4k or 1080p. Immediately closed the app.

Also, Unifi TV is bringing the Phoenix Hong Kong Channel, not the Phoenix Chinese Channel (the one that’s available on Astro).

Keep your Unifi TV pack. You’re a sooka subscriber too, so you get the best of both worlds.

Seriously？cause feel want cut astro this year and plan to subscribe unfi...

Summary (based on my understanding):

New Unifi TV customers will enjoy the new Unifi TV experience starting 3 July 2025.

Starting 3 July 2025, two Unifi TV apps are available on app stores:  
• Unifi TV app – for existing subscribers (before 3 July 2025).→ Continue using this version until further notice.  

• Unifi TV 2.0 app – for new subscribers (from 3 July 2025).→ Existing users will receive this in phases from 29 July 2025 onward. Stay tuned!

tried the v2 since launching. so far i like the smoothness just missing the old way of changing the channel. i use android box. usually u press up or down arrow button & can quickly change channel

Unifi tv 2.0 is a new user interface that includes everything. Maybe need some times to get used to the change.

I like the UI. But now that everything is embedded into one single UI. I maybe not familiar to the tv channels, but I need to go to channels tab on the left side to watch tv. Other than that everything else seems okay.

If anybody knows easier way can let me know.

TM so proactively deliver new STB to customer's home even without asking the customer? 
Then what if the customer end up keep the new STB in the store room and didn't bother turning it on, or give excuses like "I don't need it, I don't watch TV also"?
