Is anyone else facing the same problem with BBC Player after the last update?

I cannot watch using BBC Player  from today. Whenever I click a program to watch, the page is asking me to press the Subscribe Button. But there is only one option for Non Ultimate Subsciber who must pay RM10/month to use BBC Player

I am on Ultimate Pack also. I had no issue previously where the app could detect the Unifi network automatically. I worry if I tick the box and press Subscribe, I might get billed RM10 monthly.

maybe others can comment if u tell what device u use.

no problem on ATV tv.

Yep, having the same issue when I tried to watch the latest Top Gear. I am also on Ultimate

Sorry, forgot to mention the devices. The app is showing the same messages on my Android phone, Mi Box S and Mi Stick.

I have emailed BBC Player and am waiting for their reply. I called Unifi but they couldn't pinpoint the reason and said they will get back to me.

email unifi with ur username unifi id, ss ur ip address on ur unifi plus box or device you use.
last week, i can't access my bbc player. i ultimate too since 2 years already.
i email unifi with my ss ip address on my unifi plus box, username unifi id and my phone number.
after i email, unifi call me and they open my id for watching bbc player. now i can access my bbc player.

I can watch again using the BBC Player app. On both my phone and ATV ( Mi Box S), I cleared the cache and data. After that I clicked on the BBC Player app, it gave the option of sign-in with Unifi. I tapped on that option and it signed in. After that I can play the series and videos again like usual. 

The only downside to this way is that all the previously watched history has gone.

Looks to me this is one of those occasions where possibly some update had to force a relogin.

It renews monthly. This is because to close off any loophole for people that cancel their unifi to still get access to these apps

Is there any differences in UNIFI TV between uniti plus box and unifi tv downloaded on other android box in terms of number of channels and navigation on channels and menu?

I just got unifi plus box but I already have a good android box. Should I install this upb beside android box for watching unifi tv, or should i keep/sell this upb and use android box to watch unifi tv?

What is your opinion? Thanks.

the experience is the same (no difference) if your box is also running Google Android TV OS

If normal box using playtv app, ui different although channel still same numbers

if yr smart TV or android box is good and ATV, u need not bother with that UPB.

if yr android box is regular android, best to try it see which one u like better.

becos non ATV android boxes are not optimized for this app, maybe come out poor.

You need Widevine DRM to use Unifi TV, which only exist on those Android TV box and not on the non Android TV ones since they skimp on DRM licensing. So I doubt you can even run Unifi TV on those cheap chinese Android boxes

So apparently after talking to Unifi, they told me it was an error on their part where some IP ranges that they have given to the users are not included in the system from BBC that detects it's from Unifi. If you encountered this error, need to restart your modem/router until you're not getting an IP starting with 100.*.*.*
