which unifi tv box?

silver, white, black?

guys, unifi provide BBC player for ultimate pack not BBC iplayer. BBC iplayer only for UK site or you need use VPN for geoblock location.

if it is the same as the iQiyi, it is very simple - just key in something they will send u via sms.

But you can't even find BBC iPlayer in Malaysia store. You will only get the Malaysian and Singaporean BBC player even if you search for iPlayer

So 6 days to go key our fingers cross n hope we can choose from their unifi tv site for the app or selection of channels like the bbc player just launch from their unifi tv app.

only black UPB is on ATV os, can use these streaming apps.

white is generic android, cannot use those apps; silver not even android.

so, to use those streaming apps as a unifi customer, u either change pack/upgrade/pay for UPB or buy separate box using ATV os or use a smart TV that is running on ATV (sony, sharp).

Just got my Unifi Plus Box. Do i need to connect to Lan 5 for for Iptv or i can use wifi?

Get a cheap android box/dongle like MeCool KD1 or KM2 (if you want Netflix certification).

The UPB has a number of limitations, namely Unifi TV is streamed via internet and not VLAN (lower bitrate and half FPS compared to white box) and no sideloading

UPB is even lower quality than the white box but can support 4k, i also scratch my head? Yet we have to pay rm480 for it!
Anyway TM is champion again when come to upgrading but in actual downgrading your experience.

The box being able to output 4K is irrelevent in the grand scheme of things. Prices for 4K chipset has fallen so low that financially it's cheaper for TM to use a 4K capable box, even if the media streamed only max out at 1080p. Not like most Malaysians will notice anyway.

In a way at least Unifi TV lets you choose if you want to stream on an android tv. Astro still ties you down to it's STB. Except for a select few during beta test, there has yet to be an official app for Android TV by Astro

The cheapest ATV box is probably mibox s but do check with users to confirm good with those unifi streaming apps when active.

I have the old silver box, and no, i will not pay rm480 for the upb.

But i have ATV smart tvs, so that's ok for me.

The day the siiver box die, i will just use the apps on the tv.

Streaming Apps is available at Mibox S.
Only issue is don't expect the video quality specially Unifi TV app
compare with White Box.
Viu in 1080 but quality but not as clear in full HD
Netflix quality is the best. Currently UHD package share account.
