Exactly what I thought, so for all people that read this post or thread, seriously, don't take things lightly, it might look as simple as crossing the street, which we all could relate to what we do almost everyday, but sometimes, things are not as safe as it looks to be.

Even if you are stuck with an empty tank, the right thing to do is to call your insurance emergency line, tell them about your petrol problem and they will come for free (im using Allianz) with the petrol (chargeable). There was no need to cross a 4-lane highway on foot, and doing it twice. What's on the other side of the road anyway, and what was he thinking? To get petrol? Perhaps, but it is clear it wasn't the best decision.
