I have rent the old vios 2018 plate VCB using socar, the nvh and comfort level is the best among B segment. The new myvi still far in term of nvh and ride comfort. But still does not justify 25k more compared to new myvi.

Since you have a budget for vios E might else well take city v spec since got huge CNY discount now.

Current city v spec still better spec than the new vios. The legroom also more spacious in the city.

Definitely vios bro. But do not exclude Honda City

Thanks for the heads up Bro. Just checked City, City E, about RM78k wo insurance, initial review appears to have 4 airbags and none of Advance safety features of the Vios. Safety is a pretty important criteria for me.

Incidently which has better after sales service, cheaper and easier to maintain, City or Vios?

Driving wise, thought City handled pretty good, suspension a bit harsh but OK, NVH not great but better than Myvi.

Chose Myvi over City as thought City didn't justify the extra cost and it had only 4 airbags.

safety you should based on ancap points result, not from amount of airbags.

Hi Effy, may I ask how huge is the CNY discount for City V and where can I get details?
Just check Honda website and can only find RM1, 999 CNY discount for City. With this discount City V more expensive than New Vios but has less safety features.

solo or family driving?

if solo, just opted for myvi. same engine, albeit detuned.
and both are equally boring to drive.

Did already. Vios, Myvi and City all rated 5 stars by Ancap. Don't know the exact points each scored, but if there's info on it I'd be interested to have a look.

then they are more of less equal in terms of safety regardless of that 1 extra airbags, safety rating points are given based on the damage of the dummy.

2018 but too bad as you said no stock d.

Less 1 knee airbag only. Yes vios j is the cheapest new car with 7 airbag now.

For first car better take cheap hatch, more practical. Later can make as beater car, can park everywhere without worries. Cheap part and maintenance.

Few year later when got increment or after got child you can buy a better car. That time you go buy sedan or suv for family and balik kampung but keep the hatch for rough purpose and short distance.

Why not wait for Toyota Yaris instead? It's like having a Myvi but with Vios specs. Heard it's coming beginning of the year but not sure when.

For my case I opted for the City S spec due to gst free period and raya rebates.
Total 70K include insurance and I was comparing vs Myvi AV at that time which made the car only 15K difference.

of course, 2 airbags was sufficient as I'm seldom on highway..
didn't need the extra features as I plan to mod/upgrade after the warranty ends. meanwhile kumpul duit dulu hehe

Depend alot @wokie regarding your salary, your family financial situation (if ur married with kids or plan to marry)

Car loan should not take more than 30 percent of your salary, period. Ideally max of 7 year loan also.

Money no object, within range of vios, I'd go for Honda City really.

All 3 are high RV, cheap maintenance.

and City has the oomph factor compare to other two.

Single, unmarried, go for Myvi, mod a few things and u can make it a gti car. But I guess, given u ask alot on safety and warranty, stick to stock + very minor upgrades to handling and tyres are sufficient.
