Hey guys, thinking of returning to gaming after so long, my last console was the PS2...

But here's the thing...

I saw a recent promo from M4G store that's selling the Xbox 1S for RM 899 and PS4 is probably around RM 1k without promo (I guess?)

So my question for both consoles...

PS4 - Is it possible to get it at a similar price as the Xbox 1S promo price from M4G if I buy it from the game stalls in Lowyat Plaza or anywhere else? I know Lazada sells it for RM 945, but I have reasons not to spend so much for it cuz it's out of my budget

Xbox 1S - Is it possible to get a lower price than M4G's current promo of RM 899 in Lowyat Plaza or any other places?

And if I go for Xbox which is not really popular here, is there anything I should keep in mind of? I'm not a hardcore gamer, I'm not thinking of playing online (literally all of my friends are on PS4 but doesn't bother me), don't mind the exclusives cuz I'm more into 3rd party titles which will definitely be available for both sides.

Appreciate the help from sifus here. Thanks! smile.gif

Dont get Xbox one.... unless u want to play Halo 5..

For multi-platform games... PS4 is always better than Xbox one..

Plus PS got official presence in Malaysia..

Xbox doesnt..

As I said, I don't mind exclusives, I did some research and the games that I wanna play are available on both sides...

And official presence as in like PSN and Xbox Live? Don't really mind, I'm more into single player games with storylines.

I would go for PS4 if I can get it at RM 900 or below, but I guess it's impossible for the time being right? The Xbox price just seems like a good deal for me.

PS4 of course:
1. Large fan base, plenty of used games going around
2. Can buy in RM at PSN store
3. PS Plus
4. Great exclusives and remastered games
5. Most games are better optimised for PS4 - better image quality and FPS

Ive been gaming on both since 07. For those who claims psn is superior to xblive is definitely high. Xblive consistent got the best o line experience. That said, i recommend you buy the ps4 because of its an official set and majority of gaming community here are centered around PS.

My ps4 is collecting dust, the last game i play was Detroit become human. I game alot on xbox because majority of my games i purchase is on xbox due to Microsoft crazy black friday and annual discounted sale.

I have both PS4 pro & Xbox one X. In my opinion, skip PS4 slim because there are small no. of games crashes on PS4 slim -go for pro instead... some times got sale.. I bought my PS4pro for rm1.2k only at Lazada. As for xbox 1s, I can only suggest go for xbox one s if:
1- you want to play backward compatible games (Xbox classic-Xbox 360)
2- You want to watch 4K Bluray movie (PS4 Pro dont plat 4K bluray)
3- You don't mind playing games at 720p resolution -most Xbox one s games runs with this low res to maintain good frame rate.
4- You don't mind having difficulty finding xbox physical disc locally.
5- You like the concept of Game Pass -ala Netflix sunsciption service but for video games.
6- You like Xbox Gold free games -xbox360 games offered are permanent no expiry. If your xbox gold expired, you still can play this xbox360 games.
7- You love xbox one ergonomic controller
8- You love xbox one s quiteness. PS4 slim & pro run loud in heavy load.
9- You don't care about Sony exclusive like God of War, Spiderman, Persona 5 etc.

If you want to enjoy xbox one games in full, go for Xbox one X.... This console gives new life to older games (backward compatibility): older games run at higher resolution and fidelity and with more stable frame rate.

PS4 is officially launched in Malaysia, and it being more popular here means that it will be easier for you to find games and accessories for decent price as more shops sells them.

Going with Xbox One S not just the game is rarer, even if you buy digital you will be paying in SGD instead of MYR.

In PS4 the online store is in adjusted MYR, means it is cheaper than USD or SGD pricing after currency conversion.
