can go to A level,.. STPM is useless...

STPM leavers can opt between local public and private unis and unis abroad. A level leavers can only choose private unis or unis abroad.

STPM is widely recognised and simply the better choice financially and academically

non malay mana ada quota ??.. average STPM most all go outside country or twinning program... might as well straight go private college,...last time my top scorer friend got into local Uni but given lousy major,.. he had to ask his father to send him to US for a major he likes..

No non-Malays in IPTA? That’s news to me.

Anyway i cannot answer on the govts behalf. It obviously sucked for your friend and i agree it was unfair. Bht thats not what i was talking about.

If u want to do A level go ahead. My point was, u could do STPM and still go to the US. (US unis no need STPM, only SPM)

I have no idea why TS keeps reporting people who have the opinion that STPM is shit.

I have the same opinion.

as an international school student
but then i didn't take o-levels
i took ib, which was said to be more challenging
i'd say o-level more recognized

rarely see unis recognize stpm without requiring additional exam / certificates, especially english proficiency tests.
