CVT tech now advanced so far ahead than during first gen time.

CVT also got gearing right? The final gear if im not mistaken. So not all CVTs are made the same. My knowledge is limited to Geab Turismo 2 on ps2 so mohon maaf if mistaken

CVTs are made of 2 pulleys connected with a belt. The pulleys are shaped like cones, so they move around to variate the gearing ratio since the belt is fixed. It's up to manufacturers to design the range of gearing the transmission can take.

Yes not all CVTs are made equal. Some like Prius uses planetary CVT doesn't have a belt, but a set of balls instead.

CVT tech had far advanced since the one in Honda City 2 generations ago. CVT had always been known to have rubbery effect due to delay for the gearbox to adjust the ratio, less durable too. But nowadays like in nearly all current Hondas sold, it's so good and efficient there really is no case for normal geared transmission, except for high end market. For low, mid range options, CVT is lighter and just as efficient as the latest 8 or more gear transmission.

Hmm, well Toyota here got quite a few with CVT.

Only Rush still with dinosaur 4AT, Camry with ancient engine with 6AT iianm.

Nissan here all passenger cars CVT too except Almari with 4AT.

In Japan, i think now kei cars and small cars all use CVT already. Some big cars too, but they also got geared transmission like Accord with 10AT and a few Lexus with 8AT.

CVT will have the lowest RPM(the bigger CC the engine, the lower the RPM)
4AT though will have the highest

i can't speak for DSG though
*
No. Nothing to do with cc, gear ratio/gearing that is

Mk6 Golf 1.4 cruise at lower rpm than mk6 golf gti 2.0
