Hi. Im using H110M-HDS R.30 motherboard. Previously im using Intel G4560 proc, and now im upgrading to Intel i7 7700 processor. In this list, it is clearly mentioned that intel i7 is one of the supported processor.

However, when I use the i7 7700 processor, it cannot boot my Windows 10. It just freeze. I read somewhere that I need to update the BIOS 1st but I already done that. What should I do now so that I can use this processor?

The hardware came with preinstalled Windows which is OEM. Normally change in hardware cause trouble. Try read this:

Nowadays, you cannot just install your licensed Window to any computer. Microsoft ties hardware and software in database, unlike last time. If you need to transfer to another hardware (I presumed including change the CPU, not just mobo), need to de-register from old pc and then activate again to newly installed pc. Last time I heard only can transfer up to 3 times only..... unless you install in illegal method biggrin.gif

Nope. Second hand. Seller said should use on z270 mobo. Still cant rule out faulty processor.
