 Advise on new CPU i7 8700k

Hi all,

im planning to get a new CPU i7 8700k for gaming.

my current spec is i6-6500 with MSI B350 motherboard.

im quite confuse now actually.If i do buy get i7-8700k should i get a z390 motherboard or a z370 motherboard?

with ice lake coming out,it seems that new mobo are required right?so just get a z370 mobo?

Intel is extremely overpriced due to price hike. Consider AMD. Z390 has better value than Z370.

Yes, Intel setup may need new motherboard for new CPU.

350 is for amd. b250/360 is for Intel. get the 390 if the price better than the 370.

okay z390 it is then..the price is not much diffrence with a z270.
planning to get a msi z390 tomahawk.
