Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said for homes priced up to RM2.5 million, the stamp duty on transfer of ownership title or memorandum of transfer (MOT) will be waived for the first RM1 million and reduced to 3% for the subsequent RM1.5 million. The 3% stamp duty will revert to 4% after the campaign ends. Source: https://www.thesundaily.my/business/govt-an...gCtSz71Ft-c9NlcIs this MOT waiver for first time home buyers only??

QUOTE(hanhanhan @ Feb 10 2019, 10:43 PM) yes and there are certain criteria to be met I know only first time buyers are eligible for waiver of stamp duties on S&P/loan agreements. How about the waiver of stamp duty on MOT which is added later? Anyone here can confirm with source? This post has been edited by keelovesjie1314: Feb 11 2019, 02:18 PM

QUOTE(hanhanhan @ Feb 12 2019, 02:50 PM) download from hereloan - pg 6. effective only from 1jul2019 onwards spa - pg 48-54. 'instrument of transfer' means MOT. "the individual has never owned any residential property including a residential property which is obtained by way of inheritance or gift, which is held either individually or jointly." Dang.
