I never liked SanDisk. Sometimes can't write, need to reformatted. I'm using Kingston, old 16GB. I heard Samsung Evo not bad and quite stable.
Other than that it could be just too hot, that your gadget can't be used. Let it cool down a bit.

FYI these budget or affordable dash cam, after 1 year stand by... By 2nd year sure the date cannot hold, battery kembang/bloated. In the end i buy new dashcam, capacitor type. More expensive but hope can last longer.

not really,

to be safe, buy "class 10 MicroSD", if you're recording in 4k, buy "class 10 U3 MicroSD"

try not to take microSDHC or microSDXC..

Usually if the specs will mention no battery or capacitor type. If u see mAh confirm battery. Or usually rm2xx above.

Cheap alternative buy samsung evo plus. Please get the original samsung.

2nd option is buy any high endurance card. Sandisk High Endurance or Transcend High Endurance. Please make sure Sandisk High Endurance is come with local distributer sticker like what you have in your sandisk ultra.

Local sandisk distributer sticker is from Vector Digital, Futuromic, Build Technology as i knew.

Sandisk Ultra is known to get spoilt very fast when used in dashcam or IP cams.

Get Samsung Evo Plus instead. 64GB and higher have higher speed than 32GB.

Evo Plus is newer version while Evo+ is older version.

Got people say the new Sandisk Ultra A1 also good but I haven't try yet.

SD Card - Secure Digital Card
SDHC Card - Secure Digital High Capacity Card
SDXC Card - Secure Digital eXtended Capacity Card

Capacity: SD cards have the maximum storage capacity of 2GB. SDHC cards have storage capacity from 4GB to 32GB whereas SDXC Cards have storage capacity between 64GB to 2TB.

Mostly capacity related. Not much on the speed.

True 4K recording requires faster write speed cards. Cards like Samsung Pro Plus or Sandisk Extreme Pro is great for true 4K recordings.

Nothing to do with SDHC or SDXC. These are more for the capacity.

Dashcams best to get supercapacitor based than those using lithium-ion battery in our hot weather.

Lithium-ion battery after some time of use will get spoilt like can't charge, gets bloated, leaking or worst case explodes.

You can read my review blogs as I review dashcams: https://jwtechreviews.com/

erm yep think so
even got one time replacement from the sandisk

any tips to detect counterfeit item?

Test the sd cards with h2testw

Anyway Sandisk Ultra is using cheap TLC nand chip. That's why not recommended to use in dashcams. Also Sandisk specify will void warranty when use in dashcams. Same for Samsung.

High Endurance cards can use in dashcams and IP cams but please check the speed first as Sandisk HE have write speed of only 20mb/s which some dashcams won't accept.

u mean, any sd only lasts around 1 year?
then need to buy new one or how?

i thought sd supposed to last until severe cases (broken, burnt, lost) only
sigh

There's a limited endurance for each sd card..

If you read the fine print for the warranty, usually warranty will be void if you use for continuous recording

Was disappointing also when I found out
