Power. Road from Car park to Gondola really off-road and still can manage go through without using 4x4 vehicle.

First time to Indo? I suggest you go see Indonesia car accident compilation at Youtube first.
The way of Indonesia people driving are another kind of level. chances of accident are very high. once you accident, your holiday are finished. You have to spent all day at Police station.

I taking bus from Jogja to Borobudur. That bus driver drive the bus like F1. Drive until pedestrian walk path to cut Q.


That why most of people going Jogja are hire car + driver

Yes.
Air Asia are only airline flight directly from Kuala Lumpur to Jogja.

Prefer choose Indonesia AirAsia (QZ) than Malaysia AirAsia (AK). Indonesia AA flight menu have more unique food.

If you stay at Malioboro, you can explore Malioboro up to Palace + Taman Sari within walking distant.
Prambahan + Borobudur can reach by Transjogja (Bus) if you travel in budget style.

New international Airport super far away from City. Hope got Transjogja route to this new airport.

Maliboro are most busiest street. Something like our Bukit Bintang.

Jogja give me most deep impression was their transport system.
Transjogja are super cheap and bus drive are crazy lunatic F1 driver and they glue two 500 Rp together to make it 1000 Rp

They will moved on March 2020
Letter already come out, current old airport will be used at Military airport.
