Battery very sensitive to heat. If battery is located inside the front bonnet, it won't last long. Max also 2 years if lucky.

If located underneath the rear seats or rear boot, easily 4-5 years.

Very true indeed, that's why all my earlier batteries died within the 2 year mark because of the heat. The real question is how do we go about circumventing this issue since my batteries are located in the engine bay. 😂

Relocate to rear boot. Can DIY. Parts sold on Lozada.

U need a battery post and some welding cables. Also a battery box with ventilation.

Mod super caps lor. Never need to change for many years. Only drawback, super caps are expensive. Easily RM 700+ but then again, long-lasting if always drive.

Relocate battery to rear boot and any brand will last 4-5 years. The Varta battery for my old BMW E32 lasted 4 years. It is located underneath the rear passenger seat.

If the battery is located inside the rear boot or under the rear passenger seats, easier 4-5 years regardless of brand. Heat kills the battery.

I don't think it is wise nor safe to have any batteries relocated inside the cabin. Best is in the rear boot or left under the hood.

Modern cars now comes with substantial insulation and doing a battery replacement is just a nightmare for some vehicles as it located so deep inside the hood. 😂😂😂

Quite safe actually. Some BMW models have the battery located under the rear passenger seats.

Battery longevity depends on the heat and climate. In some cars, the battery is located underneath the rear passenger seats. This results in a longer lifespan. Example, BMW 730i E32. The stock Varta battery lasted 5 years IMO.

However, on some cars, especially those with the super hot engine bay, the infamous Peugeot 3008, the battery lasted just 14 months regardless of brand. Luckily, the car will warn the driver of impending failure, the famous "Economy Mode Active". Once u get this warning, replace the battery immediately. If not, have to use a tow truck. Changing the battery is not a simple 5-minute swap. U have to remove a few items then only can pull out the battery. At least 30 mins with the right tools.
