Most maintenance free battery can refill water first then recharge back, this will prolong the battery lifespan. Try remove the top cover or sticker above, usually those battery hole area are hidden below it.

Do we need to do it when the battery already k.o or need to refill the water just like ordinary battery which need to refill once in a while 🤔💦💖🐝😻

A lot of time battery KO is due to low water level in it, my battery most of the time after one year i will check and refill the battery water again and recharge. FYI, a lot of battery also being refill with water at battery shop and sell as 2nd hand after trade in.

Want to replace battery on my Vios 2022.
Thinking if Amaron Flo or Varta Blue.
Which is more recommended?
Any place in Penang Georgetown to get them?
Thanks

Got my old battery replaced yesterday. Although didn't totally died, but when it was almost like coughing when crank starting the car for 3 times throughout the day, i decided to not risk it. Battery lifespan, 16 months, but probably can be semi revived with a proper deep charging using a industrial 12v charger. Pretty sure it wasn't due to failed plate or dendrite short as the voltage still quite ok in my previous drive before replacement.

Got myself the sodium battery from Aeson, 10% off listed price, still not cheap.....i'll be one of the few pioneer lab rat to the durability of it in this channel.

So far, the initial observations are the mild but noticeable uptick in throttle response...probably due to the slightly lower resistance of the battery?

the weight of the sodium ion battery feels like a joke comparatively against the lead acid that i took out....6kg+ vs 16kg+

feels like there is a lot of empty space within the casing of the sodium ion...almost like a cheap knock off if one is uninitiated when hearing the hollow plastic noise (almost like whacking your desktop printer) at the corners

the slightly higher voltage and lower resistance really does help improve combustion sparking, slightly amazed that the throttle felt lighter, like when i initially changed my spark plugs or the first few days of driving after an oil change or like when i got my car's intake carbon properly blasted clean. I don't remember noticing such when replacing the lead acid batteries....makes me wonder what happens if also replace the 11year old coil plugs.... tongue.gif

for those on the fence, and your battery is about to reach the time of replacement, if you have the money, give it a go

What car? Is it due to alternator weaker?

Toyota camry acv30 2.0e year 2003, previously its due to alternator problem and the astra battery only last 2 and half years, after replaced alternator 2 days later battery died, now new battery and alternator, will see how it goes, if hit 3 years then i might be the luckiest person

Near 4.5 years and counting,  hopefully I can hit 5 years by recharging regularly.

My Picanto's battery finally R.I.P as of this Tuesday (3/3/2026). Car could not be started and charging it to full only lasted me about 2 days of usage. This is quite exactly full 5 years of service from this Amaron Hi-Life NS60BL battery.
