in my case, I have made the normal NS battery to hit a 4 years, this coming June, using Foxsur battery charger at less than rm100. I charged it once a month for about 3-4 hours. ATM has no sign of hard starting.

May I know what's the screw wrench size to open after-market battery terminal adapter? I think its a 13mm or an 11mm because i have a 8-10, 12-14 combo wrench all seems too big or too small.

STRANGE REQUEST

Completed battery install and everything checked out properly. Then the client asked if I could adjust the clock. It looked fine to me. He said during the last service he requested the technician to reset it again as there was a difference of 3 minutes.

Since I cannot see very well now, so I decline to reset the clock and said that it would be better that the SC does it.

Can a weak EFB-M42L battery affect the vehicle's clock ? It never happened before but according to the owner, this happened on the last service and during that time the SC also mentioned that his battery was degrading.

I have never came across such a peculiar case. Maybe it's just his vehicle only and not other vehicles unless I start getting weird request frequently also.

My Myvi clock is always fast. Every 2-3 months it’ll go a minute or so faster. So that means my car’s batter is strong? laugh.gif

But no, never encountered this issue before. No logic behind the basis.

You raised an interesting point and out of curiosity I went to speak to another owner JSX 3389 Bezza and he says that his Bezza clock will be faster by 2~5 minutes in a months time. I changed his battery less than 6 months ago.

Checked with his neighbour who owns 2nd Gen Myvi, no such issues.

I like your style macam puzzle, wherein we have to figure out amenda la u are driving.

30+ year old vehicle
Uses NS60 battery size
and the battery's location in the boot ?

Which car make & model can this be ? Hmmm ....

Anyway regarding the voltage, would you have a copy of the Battery Test & Electrical Charging Tests result for the new Amaron battery and your vehicle ?
