QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Apr 5 2022, 09:08 AM) Bro., you seldom drive ? Strange that your bigger battery averages only just 2 years. Maybe because of your principal, RAMCAR, the owner of Century and Yokohama brands of batteries is not a non-profit organization afterall? Just trolling bro, maybe you are posting these to insert advertisement on behalf of your "principal" for business purpose? Sorry to disturb then well I'm just being curious and I like to make wild guess.. maybe he is just being unlucky and had got 1 of the the batteries out these that "doesn't last 5 years and more?" » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Apr 5 2022, 09:12 AM) Every new battery brand that wants to establishes itself in the market will do that but after awhile they will have to follow market forces. That was what happened to Amaron and that will happen to Camel too, unless Camel is a non-profit organization.

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Apr 7 2022, 08:49 AM) This is one example where many conti cars even dont give oil dipstick to check the oil level, must using digital speedometer to figure it out if oil level at good level. Another is seal for life atf, but many had gb k.o after the warranty period/mileage ended. Hopefully there is another car manufacturers can teach them a lesson on very selective for service or parts replacement. You mean the German brothers (dipstick sensor) and Mazda ("Life time" warranty) auto transmission?

QUOTE(abubin @ Apr 7 2022, 11:32 AM) Toyota Hybrid is very mature tech among all the other brands. The 12v battery are only used to start the electronics and does not need high CCA. That is why the factory AGM batteries can last up to 7 years. If taking out the battery can cause the car to be unable to start, there would already be lots of noise from users and mechanics. I have not read of such thing for Toyota Hybrid, Camry Hybrid nor other hybrids or even any ICE cars. So I will assume this is a myth until I get hard core evidence on this. I will try googling around on this cause it is something I would personally not accept if a car have such a thing. Also, the instances when this happen, there have to be an explanation on this which I think is probably due to the car itself already have issues. Not saying that I don't believe you as anything is possible and I am still an infant in terms of car tech. Personally the longest time I have removed my car (Prius) is 3 days. Still starts without issue after I put in an old recharged battery. I'm with you on this. Sometimes was it just the dirty throttle body that its position would require the ECU to re-learn its initial position since disconneting the battery causing the lost its memory? Anyway, I guess most of the car manufacturer won't encourage us to disconnect the power without any backup plan. Maybe a battery charger should be given as a gift when purchasing a car, like some of them who bought a McLaren/Ferrari. Our battery will last !

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Apr 8 2022, 09:59 PM) I dont think RAMCAR is the owner of Century or Yokohama. It is another party actually, if I am not mistaken. It's a long story actually when this thread was started. I was in a midst of trying to find trustable battery brand because of 1 bad experience with a Century dealer, despite using Century for years and with great results from the same dealer. Anyway while on a trip to KL hoping to find a new battery supplier, I received a call from Century HQ promising to resolve my situation. I had spoken to other battery companies but somehow this Century guy proved to be sincere and honest in trying to resolve the predicament I was in. Mind you back then I was still an end user only and was recommending Century to friends. One thing led to another and now here I am and all this is possible is because of phone call I received. Now that I think about it properly, it is not about the battery brand, a good battery is a good battery no doubt, it is about the relationship that was formed. What is important to me now, whenever I need help in resolving a battery related issue, I can depend on Century. Just like my clients depends on me giving their Century batteries a clean bill of health, I depend on Century for good battery always. It is the same with you or anyone else for that matter, the fact that you chosen a certain brand is because of your relationship with that particular battery reseller or website or online shopping platform or whatever suites one's fancy. Writing here for business ? Advertisement ? Seriously ? Don't you know that it is a pure waste of time ? I could be on another platform pushing batteries way faster, easier and best of all I dont have to form any relationship whatsoever. No liability also. I believe forummers who follows this thread are not in which battery brands, we have moved past that a long time already. It ought to be how to maximize battery life span, battery management etc etc stuffs like that. Also its about relationship with other forummers like abubin, SleeplessEyes & others to save my butt when I am in trouble. 😊 Ok bro, TL but I Did Read, another platform that push battery faster? How to push battery faster when we would replace our car battery only when it's dead? Whatever it is, it's an online forum, anyone can talk anything we want, afterall "no publicity is bad publicity" maybe? Thank you for always sharing some of the interesting examples that you have encountered.
