Very bad job. Did 4 rounds and some holes extra that I didn't requested. Like my kitchen one, now it's a hole there. They cut my tiles off

Tell them to fix up the mess, if not no payment. Worse case just pay them rm50 per socket and tell them to f off. Use the rm25 you saved to get another guy to fix the problems.

Kaodim is a great idea - like ServisHero - but always seems to have the error message “we’re experiencing some difficulties, please try again later”
Is it business and financial difficulties?

Most of the times, new extra power points are looping from another socket. They will not do a fresh rum frm the DB. Imagine how much that will cost !

I was quoted 50 -70 per power point for plaster ceiling lights. Had so many to do, took a day off and did my self. For wall powerpoints in my yard. Hacked the wall and looped.
Of course you may not be able to diy.

Its cut throat, but wht to do !

It depends on so many factors on whether cutthroat or not..

Check the following:-
1) Cable size used and any brand? Or even SIRIM certified wire? Electrical shops do sell many brand and types of wire. Those good qualities one can cost up to 2x more.
2) Is it looping or pull from DB? For air-cond switch, pull from DB and not loop from another AC point.
3) Also be mindful if looping. Need to know if the wire to the 13A power socket is already overloaded or not. If loop too many points, it will be dangerous. If 2.5mm2 cable concealed in wall, it can only support about ~15amp.
4) How many quantities? Don't forget there is always a minimum cost. If 1 or 2 units only, of course it will be expensive as the contractor still need to cover for traveling cost, toll fees, etc.
5) There are also some contractors that will do improper installation to cut cost e.g. stitching multiple scrap wires, reducing wire size, and so on.

It depends on what you want to do, there should be a travelling Fee then followed by a quotation. Now most electricians/renovators (in PJ) want cari makan only. They only want big jobs. Small jobs don't want. Plus only 3 in 10 will do it properly/nicely without BS.

Depends. Hard to say.. Just make sure to pay on the platform.

Also, just from experience kaodim/ recommend.my both are good platform to find "contractors" but beware most of them like what I mentioned, Person A sees Person B do and those top rating contractors usually only do big jobs instead of small/ troubleshooting jobs, better $$.
