Smartphone has blurred the line between camera and video recorder. From the powerful mate 20 pro to the intelligent google pixel phones and the dynamic iPhone smart HDR not to mention the sharp clear Samsung phones. These days flag ship phone are able to capture astounding pictures. with the software effects, most pictures do look good however to an untrained eye, most of us are able to spot artificial post processing pictures.

Similar to DSLR, there has been an influx of camera lens, hood, flood light, stabiliser gears and other funky gears to ramp up the current capability of the camera. This thread serve as discussion and knowledge sharing platform in hopes everyone can share their gear, settings and final picture to produce a near DSLR like quality.

Out on the market I know of Moment lens, Sandmarc, Rhinoshield, Aukey, Exolens and other cheap china lens. Each individual product has their own mechanism to secure on to the phone via clip on, custom case to screw on or bolt clamp technique.

Anyone here as started this revolutionary hobby? I see in the US its a growing new trend. Wide lens and anamorphic lens are quite popular followed by fisheye lens. Most people like to do selfies or vlog. Would hope everyone can share their insights if you do purchase such gadget.

Yeah. its something different compared to conventional DSLR. Combines mobility to snap and post as well as performing live post processing. I know it will never be on par with premium DSLR, but then again its fun to see how a sub 5k setup can achieve astounding capabilities esp on street photography. its much subtle to aim and shoot covertly compared to big DSLR.

I'm now looking at SIRUI lens, seems like they're getting attraction as its cheaper than moment and can screw into moment cases.

Cool. how much does you lens cost? were there any taxes getting them delivered into malaysia? I'm keen to get the wide angle, but find the cost somewhat expensive compared to SIRUI. Many in there internet rave SIRUI to be on par with Moment in terms of lens quality but at a fraction of the price.

How do you find the 18mm, really good?

I'm looking for a budget gimbal, which do you recommend? Zhiyun smooth 4? Q? or FeiyuTech Vimble 2?
