Gouki: with active xover you get more control over the speakers in terms of tuning. Hi-Lo converter is cheaper though.

the SS15 Cosplus is directly opposite Carrefour. same row with the proton showroom.

active xover are limited right now ever since the TruTechnology saga. so only choice is to get HU with crossover settings.

go for passive system first. learn about component matching, staging, tonality then only head to active setup if you want.

argghhh! I knew that Perodua Service Centre likes to cut people's "throat".. but I didnt know they like to take my limbs, hearts, etc all together sad.gif

Sent my car in for service and asked them to re-align my both front doors as there are some gaps in between and it wasn't close tightly enough..

Got the quotation of RM60 per door for the job rclxub.gif cry.gif

cari Autocraft la @ Jalan Kilang (same road as Campbell). theyre an authorised service and parts dealer for p2. workmanship is fast and efficient though no booking allowed. first come first serve only.

complained about my brakes vibrating then got in a warranty for the rotors. 2 weeks after that parts arrived already.

automotive security tints differ from the standard tints by its thickness (measured in mils). due to the increased thickness of the film, it can withstand a higher load but it is still 'breakable' as long as the force applied is beyond its limit. as mentioned by Awan Afuqya & sleepwalker, the security tint can be easily defeated by applying a heavy force onto a single small area. this is purely based on the laws of physics.

security tints can be dyed (or mixed with certain metallic composite) to give it a colour. its basically the same as the standard automotive tint just that it is much thicker.

if its just relocating the battery to the rear and not adding an additional battery...

the pros:
- extra space in the engine compartment
- 'longer' battery life as temperatures at the boot would be much lower than in the engine compartment
- reduce risk of shorting the battery terminals during maintainence
- able to use a much larger battery
- car's security is increased as it would take a while for the thief to access the 'hidden' battery

the cons:
- troublesome when it comes to jump-start/changing the battery (jump-start cable has to be extra long!!)
- cost of cable isnt that cheap since 4 or 8 gauge would be used. a sedan would need 4-5 meters per run.
- hiding the bundle of cables might be a headache and a noise problem if theres ICE. batt +ve to alternator, batt +ve to main supply, engine block to batt -ve. thats just three cables and more to come.
- cost to manufacture a nice bracket & frame

overall its not practical unless its adding a second battery. stock location is still the best.
