hmm.. now i suspect the myvi engine leaking oil.. saw some oil on the ground this morning, popped the hood and saw some oil stains near the dipstick area

it happens lol....bad design

not sure if it leaks from the dipstick area, or from the cylinder head (whatever you call it).. cuz i see oil stains around that particular part but the rest is clean.. cuz flooring got oil stains "rather clean ones samo"..
i'll check the floor again tmr, hopefully it's not leaking

nope man.. went two spare part shops also don't have it.. the one near shell said i need to leave the thing to be sent for measurement and then only search for it i didn't want to leave my window to be not functional, so i just went back home and DIY repair the thing.. (apparently DIY-ed for god knows how many darn times but finally got it correct this time, so hooray to no-more-window-rattling )

edit: at the same time removed those dang fluorescents off my car..

Added on October 4, 2007, 9:46 pm now i'm suspecting it's my car that's leaking oil.. very small amount, but i'm not sure from where..
what kinda fluid runs in our car?

power steering fluid
brake fluid
engine oil
transmission oil
radiator coolant/water

what else?

my transmission is a LSD one, so does that mean there's another inlet for oil or i just use ATF meant for LSD transmissions?

lsd oil, clutch oil, bearing fluid.

if its green or thin red, its radiator
if its thick red that turns dark very quickly, might be your bearing grease or brake fluid.
brake fluid also golden to brownish

tranny and lsd, so far i experienced golden-ish nia
power steering very the golden. if old its dark and black

what i did to my old car is that i placed newspaper, weighted with rocks under the engine bay. leave it overnight, then see where the oil comes from

power steering fluid needs replacement one onot, mine manyak hitam liao o.O

every year lo...my steering is as heavy as a log now lol haven't flushed the system yet.

i've cleaned the floor edi.. tomorrow gonna check the floor and see if there's any oil leak .. hopefully not la

i prefer unassisted steering actually. can be a beeatch to park, but has the best response when going up any highlands....nyam nyam. my gf's myvi super light till i dunno how much im turning
