Hi all sifus,
Can shed some light on what pomade/wax to use for a slick back hair style? Most youtube tutorials are using brands that are not available in Malayisa cry.gif cry.gif
I tried using Bad Lab Supersonik (medium & glossy) but I can't hold my hair back at all. The end result not even close to slick back. The product feels more like code 10-type of hair cream.
Am I using it incorrectly?? My hairstylist seems to do it effortlessly, when I ask her she just say any wax product will do. But clearly its not as easy as it seems.

Products I tried so far: gatsby wax, bad lab pomade

If restyling not needed, just use a gel. Gatsby wax quite good what, the grey octagon one.

Pic of hair styles that you want to achieve? How much are you willing to spend on pomades? Is your current hair cut length/style suitable for slickback?

My current hair style is suitable cause my hairstylist just tried it on me last week after she cut my hair. But the prob is I'm not sure how to choose the right product, cause I can't achieve the same look. No luck with BAD LAB supersonik.

Any product suggestion?

The hair I want to achieve is roughly like the pic attached

I’m planning to clear some of my imported pomade collection, mostly from US. Let me know which pomade you want, maybe I have it.

The best is to ask advice from your hairstylist and buy the hair product she used on your hair

you need to blow dry your hair first, setting the shape of your hair before applying pomades, and for lasting effect, use a hairspray too

Blow drying and using a pre-styler before that is key. As mentioned above, best to ask your stylist what product he/she used for your hair cut.

Supersonic is kinda weak imo , try to apply hair spray if needed ,apply hair spray by spraying it on your hand , then your hair

Just buy the same wax from your stylist, they will sell it.

If you are regular then can try ask for discount as well.
