Hi guys. I'm thinking to start to be a full time grab driver. How is the current demand? Is it ok or oversaturated already? Any tips willing to share?

Never drive with grab before..

Hi, I just started driving, due to no job now. Can I get any tips how to make a living using grab? I am hoping not to touch my life saving while job hunting now.. My home city is N. Sembilan. But I actually live at Nilai, so I was thinking if changing to Klang Valley a good idea..

Thanks..

Yes just change to kv and drive 8 hours AA a day to make rm200-300 gross as mentioned by one of our forumer. Be noted that he might be related in grab office and able to set priority and automatic filtering bad jobs 🤣

Location, location, location. And AA everything.

Starting from home 8am, first hour average one or two RM5 fare from/to LRT, then at least RM30 base fare with variable TB heading to KL. By 930am already minimum 50+ without counting TB

Within KL, a couple more RM5-10, then will hit either destination Shah Alam, Rawang, or airport. By 11am it’ll be 100++

If airport, drop off straight head back to USJ via elite, turn off engine at USJ21 LRT station Gate B. Mostly RM5 from here, but got kena airport trip also from Main Place. If airport again, rinse and repeat. If RM5 trips, drop off head back to USJ21. Usually got foreign workers want to go Shah Alam direction from USJ21 station with at least RM20 fare.

Also, camp Gate B sometimes can get Gate A jobs too. One of my favourite camp spot between 11am to 1pm if I got airport trip in morning.

If from KL go to Rawang etc, set dest to Sunway Pyramid, but drive toward batu caves, then wangsa maju, the berjaya time square. Confirm get a hit even before reaching wangsa maju.

Even if after drop off at Pyramid, I keep set dest on, a drive on NPE (skip toll) heading back to old Klang road. Rinse and repeat.

At the worst day also at least 200 per day. 300 is when get at least one airport trip. More if back to back airport trips.

I don’t stop to eat in 8 hours, just drink water and pee. I only stop at shell stations, no particular reason, I just like to pee at shell. RFID and paydirect on TnG so I no need stop to reload physical card

Every morning also I buy driver credit on e-pay using credit card. I buy RM50 because that translate to RM250 gross. Top up when necessary. Every day petrol is about 50 depends on actual mileage also la. Most of the time less than that.

Is it tiring? Yes, but no more than playing basketball every day. If you are unhealthy to begin with, sure you need to take nap or eat snack. I drive with science and math, so I want to maximise time on road with passenger within the 8 hours without spiking blood sugar level, because the subsequent crash will affect focus and energy level.

Long story short - it’s where you drive and how you drive.

Thanks for the sharing bro. U seems not drive inside kl much. Can u share a bit if I start from Nilai going to usj? I planned to do this around usj/pyramid. I'm just starting and actually hoping to find a real job by july..
