This is very similar to Uber model worldwide.
Uber majority passenger using CC.
When upfront fare + surge implemented, got proof that they overcharged the passenger but underpaid the driver.
The difference = Uber pocketed it @ profit!!!

Doesn't matter what they're called but the fees, they are a coming...

Uber started with safety fees - everybody grudgingly accepted why not since it enhances safety until drivers learnt 'safety' meant driver background checks. One lawsuit later Uber changed it to booking fee.

Uber's even charging some sort of climate change fee in London for clean energy research (*cough* self driving cars *cough*)

Total take home pay of Grab will be around 40% of fare...

Wow thank you for the insider info, actually they are milking as hard as possible to make it profitable and list it up.

It took them 7 mths to reach 3rd billion ride from 2 billion.

Pelik tapi benar, MY drivers must be nuts to fund Grab to replace them with autonomous vehicles. Sort like the old western movies where they are digging thier own graves. devil.gif

The pussy meow rider face is all over the facesbook. Not just the view numbers but the thousand numbers of comments which salute the driver cool reaction. Though many thousands condemned the cheapskate rider, they did not hear and notice how incompetent the Go Jack customer service which breaks the rules of engagement in road traffic safety to insist talking to the driver when he was driving. That guy should be hauled up by the Go jack and Singapore Traffic police. What if that distraction cause the accidents which might killed other road user on the road?

As a rider, I prefer CC to grabpay.
Grabpay must top up first. The balance, if not used, is wasted.

A Gojek spokesman told The Straits Times that it has investigated the incident using the evidence provided and has spoken to Kamaruzzaman and the passenger.

"Gojek takes all complaints from riders and driver-partners very seriously... A fair outcome has been reached with the driver partner and we are of the view that the matter is now concluded," the spokesman was quoted as saying.

It said the spokesman declined to reveal details of the "fair outcome

Go Jack is not taking matter seriously of its staff which acted unprofessionally to handle the situation by insisting talking to the driver while he was driving under stress? He would be the party if there is any accident. tongue.gif

With all due respect, incrementalism dude. bit by bit.

By ministerial fiat comm is capped at 20% come July. The first step will be a baby step - just to recover the lost 5%. Then a few months for everyone to cool off and then...

Can any driver who has grabbed for many years tell me that he has made more in the 2nd/3rd year compared to the first year? Without putting in more hours ?

Can any driver who has grabbed last year tell me he earned more in the 2nd half of 2018 compared to the first half ? Without putting in more hours ?

If you made X dollars this year, next year you will make even less than X. You know that. Surely you know that.

People here, they want to see how far rates can be cut and still have drivers on the road. Never mind if its a grumbling driver. A grumbling driver is still a driver...

Finally someone speaks the ugly truth. Crapcar driver is the only job in the world that get income cut every 6 months yet still so many want to drive full time.

Crapcar management: hey, average gross rm30/hr is still too much and no sign of significant lesser supply of lembu, let's do something to further cut their income to below rm20/hr. What they r going to do? quit? haha...

I knew from beginning that was your company mindset. Those who are still considering to join e hailing, open your eyes and decide before it is too late. This is how crap doesn't value your hard work, you're nothing to them even your lost your life or healthiness. They doesn't care about "old/experienced drivers", all they care was enough supply to fulfill demand.

IMO grab have poor leadership, poor decision making in many ways. You guys can achieve much better with such huge fund, but only with better leaders. Pity to their S*ftB*nk investor.
