I became rider again 3 days ago. This driver missed the junction that turn into my housing area during the pick up and caused few minutes delay as he has to find different route. It was okay for me as I understood it happened once in a while and I wasn’t in rush.
I later got into his car and never blame him anything for delay. But this driver start blaming non stop his phone gps which lead him to wrong junction with the non entry sign and cursing here and there etc. After that we passed by the same junction then I explained to him in fact there were two junctions, one is for he car to go into my housing estate and the other junction which is 20m away is for the vehicle coming from opposite direction. Both also one way street and obviously he missed the first junction and ended up in second junctions which means for the car coming from the opposite direction. I rated him 4 stars after the trip not because of the delay in picking up but mainly because I was annoyed with his earlier non stop whining. If he apologized or just keep quiet after I get into the car, I would rated him 5 stars without doubt. I seldom rate driver below 5 stars. QUOTE(Calvin871989 @ Jun 15 2019, 03:02 PM) just now said best place to work now say not the worst one to work for. The drivers are not considered as their employees. Unfortunately. LOL.I take it you meant full time/part time/contract staff working at grab HQ ? i wont be surprise those given their rating already left the company. |

QUOTE(Calvin871989 @ Jun 15 2019, 04:37 PM) Well they refer grab driver as their driver partners. I don't know if it's another way of calling these driver partners as their employees. I merely requote one of the grab staff’s comment at the end of video and I don’t expect anyone will get aggravated over it.I agree grab are not best company especially toward the drivers (if you consider driver as partner or employee or whatsoever) but there are other better career alternative available out there and you should move on from here. Chill lah. |

QUOTE(mrbs84 @ Jun 26 2019, 10:43 AM) Some alpha said you still can if you already registered the car with grab (not new register account), and with puspakom inspection as long as it passed the inspection, it's still suitable to drive. My friend drove 11 years old car. You sure or not?I tried to register my car detail via grab Pikul Bersama car web page and it can’t proceed further once I update my car actual registration date which is before July 2009. QUOTE(Calvin871989 @ Jun 27 2019, 10:30 AM) well what kind of answer are you expecting from him ? oh after I arrive and pick up the rider i then turn on waze which shows 51 minutes from SS2 to KLCC , immediately i ask the rider to get off the vehicle and I proceed to cancel the booking ? Are you still driving for grab car or other ehailing companies currently?friend , any experience driver would know the traffic condition or another way is before pick up your rider do a quick check on your maps to know the ETA from SS2 to KLCC I know you're a smart grab part timer ... |

QUOTE(river.sand @ Jun 29 2019, 09:24 PM) Today picked up an India Indian couple (not local Indian) from a hotel. Destination was Jalan Thambipillay. Have you reported your case to grab after incident?Along the way, the guy gave me direction on how to get to the destination. When we reached Jalan Thambipillay, the lady got off, while the guy told me he was going to Nu Sentral. He further explained that he was new to that area, and needed me to give him a lift. New to that area? He knew how to get from his hotel to Jalan Thambipillay. Nu Sentral was within walking distance. I refused to give him free ride, and insisted to drop him off there. |

QUOTE(river.sand @ Jun 30 2019, 09:04 AM) No. Doubt Grab would take action without evidence. I didn't record down the conversation. Don’t be surprise if next week suddenly your sms inbox there is one unfriendly grab message appear. It was my last job of the day. If the couple were nice people, I wouldn't mind give them short free ride. But that guy was clearly cheating. It is important for us to report to grab when there is any unusual issue arised during the trip. especially when it is possible that your unhappy rider will likely report you. |

The issue is not only concerning drop off point and pick up point. Rather, there was an unhappy riders who dissatisfied with service due to driver not willing to follow his instruction.
Yes, the real story in the cabin was that the rider requested for additional or different drop off point and expecting to pay same fare. But the grabcar backend might receive a completely different story or the nature of complaint which the driver never expected. |

Take it easy with the up and down of our driver rating. Even ride is smooth some riders also want to give lower than 5 stars due to their high or unrealistic expectation, difficulty to get drivers during peak hours, previous driver cancellation, fare was too high etc. Chill lah.

QUOTE(yhtan @ Jul 3 2019, 09:30 AM) I think crap will pressure government to give another 1-2 weeks extension one, if whole malaysia only 10k drivers, i seriously do not think is enough, especially at peak hour. Although MOT has given e hailing operator one year grace period for the new rule, the driver on the ground only start to start to aware of the full details from the authorities on how to comply with the new regulations 2- 3 months back if no mistaken. The implementation is done quite hastily in my opinion. |

There are mainly two responses for the coming regulation enforcement:-
I) Those who love it: Full timers especially those who have passed the exam and puspakom. Less driver on the road means less supply of drivers on the road II) Those who hate it: Part timers who don’t drive frequent enough to justify the costs or time incurred to get EPV Alpha recruiters: Those seldom drive and their main income derived from the recruitment incentives Also for those drivers who having tough time to pass the psv eaxam. |

Hello,
PSV is not one of the difficult exam that I came across. But please read and UNDERSTAND the content in the textbook. Try to memorize some of key contents that frequently being ask in real exam papers. In another word, don’t underestimate the level of difficulty. Another popular topic that Joker missed out is SANTUN. This post has been edited by birdman8: Jul 18 2019, 02:01 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |
