Am I still happy I got suspended ? Hell yes ! Did I regret it ? Hell no ! Haha

Even though I was a part timer back then before getting suspended , I already knew that there'll be a time I either stop driving for crap or get suspended. Since then I've never look back at crap and uninstall the app for good.

Well so what do I do now when I'm free ? Basically just spending more time with family and friends which I don't use to do that back then.

What advice can I give to part timers or full timers ? Grab is not the only job out there and don't make this your one and only hope. Ask yourself what if grab didn't exist ? What would you have been doing now for a part time or full time job ? But if you still want to continue doing grab then go ahead no one is stoping you. As for me , been there and done that so it's time to venture into something different.

Go see cardock YouTube channel from where he started and where is he currently. I believe he is a grab ambassador / grab driver ? Now earning in USD with his growing subscribers and views. Very good effort from him for trying and doing what he loves even though he doesn't have the handsome face , good english language skills , video editing or etc.

Couple of months back in this thread someone mentioned that a grab driver quit driving for grab and open his own business and is doing very well now ? It was a malay guy I think. Can't recall much.

Try ask yourself what you love doing ? Go learn a new skill or take up courses. Use what you learned and apply it to something. If you already good at something then offer your services or try those freelance jobs. Sooner or later people will start to recognize you and that's where you start to up your game.

You gotta start somewhere if you want something and also think about long term. Some take a gamble , some take a different approach on things while some just follow the flow and see if it leads to somewhere or nowhere.

Grab ? Yes it's a good start but long term ? A big NO. It is just something to hang on for a while. If you want long term better just be a taxi driver. Their earnings alone is way better then crap, no ?

We can only advice or say and speak about different things but end of the day, you make your own decisions in life.

since there is free/subsidize for medical,puspakom,PSV training im sure every grab drivers will take advantage on this and stay on after july ?

but, the difficult part right now as mentioned on news portal is most drivers cant past the exam ? quite shocking to be honest. (cant read and write in malay ?)

in that case, only options are to pay and resit for the exam until you pass or just give up until a couple of tries.

but im only waiting to know if after July or some time after that , will demand more then supply and increase fare/surge ?

riders back to taking own transport or public transport train/bus or pay high amount to take grab ?

i wont be surprise if fare/surge be the same as of right now whatever happens after July.

to me personally , drivers should have the training and exam in BM or English language as their options.

maybe crap also don't give two flying balls for those fail their exam in BM. what else have crap done to help these drivers that fail in their exam or do these drivers fully deserve to be a failure ? maybe pay and re-sit for the exam until drivers pass the exam is the only option for now ?

edit : those failed the exam are majority none malay or what ? I still cant brain it.

im not a malay myself but i did fairly reasonable (not saying im very good in BM) in exams during my primary, secondary and university days.

Let's say example if I was a thief/murderer and I hop in a grab car at 2am in the morning and after along the way I take out my knife/gun point towards you and what would be the next thing the thief/murderer would go after ? Your phone, because its the only communication device that can call for help.

By the time you make any movement or raise your hand to take your phone and use the emergency button on grab app, you will be dead or injured.

Why not they come up with a physical emergency button that can be connected to the app or phone via wireless or bluetooth. Have the emergency button located at the side of driver seat or just below the driver seat. If anything happen just press the button and it automatically calls for emergency and alert grab HQ and police.

If the reason they can't do the above as my suggestion because of costing , then I'll say it again, "that's how crap take drivers life seriously".

Knowing crap motto , they for sure wouldn't be flexible on the AR/CR as they always thrive to deliver 24/7 best service (with their driver partners) regardless on what kind the situation is or will be after pick up and drop off.

One person dying or few people dying ain't that a problem for crab because they can find 100 people the next day to replace you. That's how much your lembu life means to them. So completely stop driving at night just for safety reasons is a wise solution for now ? Make sense unless you want to risk your life for ikan bilis fare or just desperate for money.

When is crap going to take it seriously on this kind of matters ? This is not the first time someone died. Not just in Malaysia but other countries operated by crap too. If they still don't plan to act or do anything, then prepare for more dead bodies. Good luck sticking with the gimmicky crap app emergency button.

On a site note , what about the facial recognition grab implemented ? How is that helping on cases like this one ? I read that the implementation is on first time users only ? What about previous users ? What if the killers was a previous user ?

With the new selfie and possible IC/passport identification , some customers might not be in favor of that requirements. Scared their data get leak or spy by crap staff ? lol

And after July , can grab promise no murder or thief against drivers ? Because their selfie isn't going to do jack shit in stoping someone from murdering a driver. Yeah I get it it's for PDRM in case anything happens but can that bring back the death ? Or how will crap be answerable to the victim family members ? This no doubt gives them a bad reputation. Actually they're already one.
