Grabshare reduced to only 15% bonus for unmatched. Good move Grab.
Coz lately seems got like many cheapskate passengers around. During peak hour also use GS. 2 pax some more.

Grab should set GS only for plus car. So that if match maximum capacity still comfortable inside.

if u start at Klang, tough time. If u start at KL area, still ok.

I treat it as part time, still manage to get RM25-30 net per hour, but once i thrown into place like Serdang, Cheras Mahkota or Ampang Ukay Heights, i need to pray hard to get a job out. Those outskirt area just have too much drivers or lesser demand. Even places like Sunway Subang has so many drivers even without the HG scheme.

For those who think coming July will be a good time because of flushing out part timers, please think twice after looking at Singapore situation.
*
I agree. During peak hour UP & MP, can still average 3 trips per hour and nett RM30 per hour (already minus 20% incentive and already add in TBB).
But the main difference is now really like lembu. On AA no choice but to keep driving and try to complete each trip as fast as possible.

Last time HG, still can choose trip, and take sweet time. If short trip, will even call to locate where is the passenger. Passenger ask to wait, no problem. Go inside condo, no problem.
Now not anymore. Countdown 5 mins, pax no show mean cancel straight. Time is money.

Smart passengers using Grab will be more rewarding if ordering JustGrab service or GrabShare.
Here is the reason why:

Grab is offering higher reward points if you ordered JustGrab / GrabShare. Or see here: https://www.grab.com/my/grabrewards/

Bangla is like that. Location always out one. Sometimes they just set Kepong or Selayang as their location. Maybe 1 big bangla standing at Kepong town waiting for you. Haha.

Better to just drive there, click arrived, chill for 5 mins, and cancel passenger no show. Take the RM3.

I agree that it transfer the risk to driver. Basically Grab is a big casino and house will put risk to driver. Its a gamble, sometimes i get fare 15+15 TBB for 3km trip and 2km pick up with moderate jam.

Its really a gamble. Sometimes i did get RM15 4km trip no TBB with 30mins traffic jam (pavilion mostly).
*
TBB is a hit or miss depending on your luck.
During the early introduction phase, MP and UP block, you can be assured that all trips will have TBB.
However, few weeks later, Grab seems to be get hold of the system. Not all trip will have TBB during MP and UP block. They transfer it into higher fare the passenger got to pay. So Grab no need to pay so much TBB.

But is still a hit or miss. Will be more miss cases if you are in jam area like in KL City. But can be hit of you are in less jam area but still getting good TBB.

Quick question guys,

If Im using GrabPay, do I have to pay toll by cash or the driver can charge me via app?
*
Driver will automatically add on the toll amount and charge direct to GrabPay.
You may just double confirm the toll amount with the driver, coz is manually key in amount.

Hi Guys,
Any cards you recommend to get discount on fuel pump ? Currently using CIMB Cash Back which can give me 2% rebate everyday on the petrol but dont seem to worth it. Last month used about 480 and only got 11 bucks rebate.
*
Affin BHP CC is the best rebate for petrol at the moment.
10% if fueling during weekend
2% if on weekday
cash back capped at RM50 monthly

user posted image

Next will be Maybank Petronas Ikhwan.
8% rebate on weekend
1% during weekday
capped at RM50 monthly

Both cards above can also use to top up your touch n go at selected petrol station. And get the same rebate as fuel.

Other choices will be limited and usually required minimum spending monthly.
- Citibank cash back card. 10% rebate on fuel every day. Capped at RM10. Minimum monthly CC spending RM500.

Today I was rider.

The car's windows were not tinted. Very hot inside 😰

Half way, the driver received a call from 'Honey', and talked for 5 minutes. He was using hands-free. Still, that's a distraction.

QUOTE(grab_insider @ Feb 1 2019, 05:30 PM)
GRAB'S PLAN FOR 2019

1) The preferred plan - Grab will no longer deduct a commission based on percentage. Instead drivers will be paid based on mileage & minutes. There will be a normal km&min rate along with a dynamically set one based on surges. SURGE itself will no longer be associated with a multiplier. During a surge, passengers will of course be hit with a multiplier but drivers will only be paid extra surge cents per km&min. The difference between the two is Grab's profit.

This is to be the new deal for both new recruits and existing drivers (existing drivers logging into their app will be greeted with a 99 page TOS to which they will have to agree in order to continue grabbing)

All this is only possible if everyone's using grabpay. (driver app will not show passengers fare only his earnings; this is essential) Since majority are cash transactions this plan is doomed or at least shelved until the cashless future is here.

PLAN 1 STATUS: Unimplementable
*
This is very similar to Uber model worldwide.
Uber majority passenger using CC.
When upfront fare + surge implemented, got proof that they overcharged the passenger but underpaid the driver.
The difference = Uber pocketed it @ profit!!!

long holidays also queue very long at landside area..

Selamat datang ke KLIA. Nombor giliran anda seperti yang di bawah.
JustGrab (for Airport): antara 1401 hingga 1500 (ETA: 164 minit)
Peringatan:
Sila tunggu di zon menunggu yang ditetapkan sahaja. Dilarang menunggu di kawasan limo dan bas. Pastikan baki Dompet Kredit anda cukup untuk menerima tempahan.
*
Long holidays queue will be longer in klia. Due to many people leaving KL instead of coming into KL.
So many drivers will be dropping passengers at the airport and end up all will be waiting to get a trip out.

There is no wrong even if you bare foot while you drive. Polis or JPJ will saman people driving without propoer shoes? Or wearing shorts? No right.
Is more to etiquette issue here. To remain as professional.
Teksi driver is a prefession and view that all ehailing drivers must be tied to the etiquette code like them.
However, ehailing drivers maybe drive for leisure fun and not view this as a profession job.

So is just different point of view from everyone.

They got give tips ok la. Most of my bangla rider is 3-4pax,  no tips, fare < Rm8, 80% no TBB
Their muslim name is a bit different and some will put weird name, pick up point (bangla shop, factory ) and time (morning weekend) some time after arrived see 4pax with trolley I'll cancel choose too many luggage option. So far I never get tips from bangla kena cheat by them got la. Only received tips from Indonesian and Myanmar rider before.
*
Cancel with too many luggage option, you got nothing, CR rate also increased.
Should just drive and hide at a secluded spot, wait out 5 mins, cancel passenger no show, profit RM3. At least compensate for your effort and time to arrive at the pick up location.

And knowing bangla, they wont know how to report.

Returned from Singapore just now.

Inside KLIA, right after customs, I saw a Grab counter, but nobody was manning it.

Wondering what that's for  hmm.gif
*
Is for people (especially tourist without the Grab apps install) to book for Grab ride via those counter. Is self service. Got device there (usually is an ipad), for you to order Grab. Subang airport also got the same thing there.

Positive Ratings Never Go Unnoticed

We always take a driver-partner’s positive ratings into consideration before we take any disciplinary action. In addition, Driver Rating plays a huge part in terms of determining your monthly status for GrabAllStars. The better the status, the better the reward

KLIA Queue

We are working on enhancements to the queue which will protect driver-partners who complete short-distance trips. Stay tuned for further updates!
*
Grab still dare not implement passenger rating. Driver able to rate passenger just like Uber.
Well, passenger is always right for Grab anyway and they scared to lose all the customers.

As for the calculation of toll, Grab counts it toward your collected gross, and you need to pay TnG for top up. So accounting wise, it has to be shown even though they cancel each other out.
*
Grab statement that you based on in your calculation already excluded the toll coz is paid by passengers. And yet you calculated the touch n go top up. Should be omitted from calculation as it is not cancelling each other out.
