Am a frequent user of Grab. Always will only book when am down at the lobby & will also remark to pick up at the guard house eventhough its easier to just wait at the lobby. This afternoon booked a ride to a nearby pharmacy to pick my meds. Like normal booked a car when am at the guardhouse. Weather was hot like fuck. Got a car. ETA 2 min. Nice. So i texted the driver & told him am already at the guard house and he replied OK. Had a chat with a guard while waiting. 10 min's passed and the driver didnt show up. Called no answer. Texted him, hi bang. You kt mana? He replied, tolong cancel. Wtf? Why didnt you just tell me when i texted you earlier? Its already scorching hot & am pissed. Took out my other phone and booked another car. Got it in 3 min. Left the previous booking. Abt 10min later when i arrived at the pharmacy i realised he hasnt cancel. So i cancelled it & classified it as driver asked to cancel.

Ita drivers like this whom gives other drivers a bad image. If dont want to pick up just ignore it. Dont be a bitch.

Thumbs up to the other drivers who respect their job. To those who dont tolong jangan jadi sampah.

Really normal thing, once my friend got a booking but he don't want cancel and rider didn't cancel also. Finally he go pick him up 3-4 hours later after nap and surprisingly he is still waiting at the hotel lobby. The rider didn't mad also, lol. It is normal for drivers to play the cancel game with riders but this is the most epic one I ever heard.

For me I don't do such thing, if I don't wanna pick them up I will tell them to cancel immediately. But not all riders would obey all the time, it is the stupid cancellation restrictions that made both riders and drivers suffer.

This happenned at Penang Island this afternoon.

A Japanese Rider wanted to go to Penang Airport from Georgetown. I was on auto accept and acknowledged the ping as I was less than 0.8 km away from the pickup.The payment mode was cash payment. When I reached there about 2 minutes later the rider was missing.
When I asked someone standing there, she said a japanese got into another car a few seconds earlier. I called the rider a few times and nobody replied, I needed to wait for 5 min to tag the passenger no show.
I could not accept the another passenger there until the 5 min timeout.Although Grab reimbursed for the no-show.
I will go to the Grab office tomorrow on this issue.


Is stealing pings rampant??

Is this real? Make sure you ask grab to check the rider history if your ping kena steal. Response back how serious grab taking cheaters, whether they ban him or not etc. This is so ridiculous.

the rider could be book another via mycar app or booked using another grab rider acc who travel together with him in another phone.

Actually after 5 mins, you cancel, the driver profit RM3. Just like Uber style, but Grab is actually the one compensating this RM3 to the driver.
You should put a report. Punish those unethical drivers. If not sooner or later, they will become no different compare to majority taxi drivers attitude now.

My fare was only RM7 & its was merely a 8 min drive inclusive of waiting at the traffic lights. Why be so unethical for a petty sum of RM3? mind boggling.

Anyway i did send a feedback as i believe such irresponsible drivers should be removed from the platform. Thanks for the advice.

i normally send chat message to rider ask them whether pick up at lobby or guard house? if lobby, which block?
after arriving at guard house, ask guard the direction to the said lobby.

a lot of rider stayed in condo request to pick up in lobby inside and we can’t cancel all of them. even if cancel, next pings may require drivers to spend additional 5-10 min to pick up since it was few km away.

unless riders ask me to pick up inside car park in one of block in the apartment/ condo and with multiple blocks inside the condo/apartment . I would normally cancel for good as i can’t see the riders who hide inside the parking lots. I find these type of riders usually give low rating.

Pings so slow today......despite being monday. And the traffic is clear from bangsar to KLCC and brickfield. A trip from Sri Haratmas took only 11 minutes in the evening rush hours. Even the KlCc rides takes less than 1/2 hour to reach Batu caves. Only got 3 pings but lucky strikes with high fares of Rm100. My odometer showed only 66 km aje, rclxms.gif

Last time i drive grab in may last year. Then last monday go to class (not reeducation class, simple class like new driver)so my account active between 24hours. I check and my account active liao.

Tomorrow want to start drive grab,plan to sleep early, just now open grab driver apps to topup. And then my account not active. Pfffttttt. Call center bla bla bla bla must submit all document again and wait 4-5 working days. Fuuuuuaaaaaaaaaak.

hardly i cancel now and never i ask rider to cancel, except for some reasons....

ytd, i accidental accepted a genting job which i though its airport job....i cancel straight away

10 mins later, the job come back to me, this round i see it clearly and just ignore...

You know why? Because grab want 5% more commission and drivers want 5% less commission lol. If grab make all commission to 20% then majority people don't have to on AA, since minimum acceptance is only 30% and easy to maintain.

after july 12, grab and any ehailing company only can charge maximum 20% according to e-hailing Act.

so would it be on AA = 15%, no AA = 20%?

if no difference, new driver also say bye bye to AA
