Hello everyone,

I am planning to drive Grab to increase my income; but I am worried on the car maintenance cost.

How much do you guys usually spend to do servicing? Does the brake pad, tyre wear out very fast? Got any good deal by Grab? I am in KL.

And is there any recommendation for cheap engine oil (but good quality...)?
*
if ur car still under warranty, its better service at SC. anything u can claim.

i stock alot shell 5w-40 from reliable source for rm100 per bottle . serivce outside only cost RM30.

tyre i changed after 90,000km, brake pad i change after 50,000km, brake disc rotor change after 120,000km.

all these wear n tear really depend on your foot, if u re heavy foot. gone fast.

just asking about the "Grab" stickers, is it compulsory to put the stickers on our own car? what if those who are also driving MyCar or others e-hailing company? will that make our car full of stickers?
*

Rumors in facebook, some claim from grab officer.

There re few possibility on Friday

1. Those with PSV n Puspakom can drive.
2. Those registered PSV can drive. even without exam yet.
3. Stick with original plan. Even with PSV but without EVP cant drive.

They renamed it to Grabcar Executive (For airport)
True also. Got one rider i met asking me why got high surge when i pick him up at Damansara Uptown to Sea Park. I talked to him with facts and he understand it correctly.

1. Some drivers choose to off at Sunday to spend time with family (Drop in driver supply)
2. Some drivers go back home early to prepare for Monday morning, some even start to drive around 6am (Drop in driver supply)
3. Most of the customers finish their dinner or outing and prepare to go back home at 9-10pm, which causing a surge in customer demand

All the above is just common sense when i explain to customer, if he is educated then he will understand when i explain, if bangla/indonesian foreign worker then it is very hard for them to comprehend.
*
i lazy to explain. i just tell them im part timer, i dont know. easier

rating drop? be my guest laugh.gif

really cant judge a book by cover.

i helped a bangla last 2 week. he brought full cart of grocery n rejected by 3 grab drivers.

cant blame them RM6 for 3km somemore so many stuff.

turn out that bangla is foreign worker agent. he gave me 4 trips in 2 weeks time.

RM80 per trip . all on evening slot 8pm-10pm. so nice
