Just finish my psv class, boring as hell. The instructor just read everything in the book to you, waste of time.

I ask some driver who take exam this morning, the 60 questions is all about the book given in course. Some about money management, a lots of customer service and akta + law questions. Driver told me 1 hour for the exam is too short for 60 questions.

Jpj said only 11 driver in jb pass the test. Next week going to test 🤣

How many % passed?

Hurm as far as im reading through the posts, i'll see first lah whether to quit grab or not after july. If more demand less drivers,i will continue then. Seriously i feel ping sendu these days..
*
Could be part timers all coming out trying to grab as much as possible before they quit.

Sounds really difficult, I wonder whether the exam is the same as previously taxi drivers taking? Or they make it super difficult for grab drivers?

I really do not know how some riders set their pickup location.

Yesterday I received a job. Pickup point was at Impian Bukit Tunku. The rider told me he was at Mydin Jalan Masjid India.

WTH, the names had nothing in common.

I checked Waze. Mydin was 2.9km away from the stated pickup point. ETA was 13 minutes.

I just waited 5 minutes and pressed cancel...

while doing part time grab, i had received order from a foreigner student set the pick up points 10km away. cancel  smile.gif

Because they are staying indoor while booking, let the app auto select pup while gps accuracy radius is few km wide and don't bother to change the pup. There are many frequent users still assume pup is always automatic and doesn't need to be filled/changed. Most of the platinum users will set their pup correctly but I guess they took a long time to learn their lesson too. iPhones have better gps accuracy than most Android phones indoor.

Guya, i know this question is not new. But can any mpv grab drivers (or 6 seater) grab drivers give their opinion about this?

I am currently only driving grab with a myvi, i am thinking to upgrade my car to a six seater and accept justgrab, grabcar and grab 6 seater jobs. Does the earnings better? I mean how many 6 seater jobs can get in a day? (Rough estimate)

Thanks in advance
*
Strongly not advise to change to 6 seater if you think to maximize your income vs investment.

Why?

- price is bad, you get merely 30-40% more fare than justgrab but you got to carry 50% more passengers, and 6seaters are normally more premium than majority justgrab, in the end passengers enjoy better car at lower rate.

- passengers may treat you as lorry/truck and expect you to move their house (tilam, furniture, tv etc without informing)

- if passengers have lots of luggage/boxes/bags, you may waste long time loading/unloading, often they won't have everything ready at their pup so you have to wait them moving all their stuff from hotel/house. In the end you earn much lesser per minute/hour.

- don't be surprised if there are 7-8 adults waiting for you at pup without informing

- pup are generally farer, in the end you get less profit per minute/km

- oku with wheelchair will often order 6seater, so expect longer loading/unloading time, if you target good profit/minute job you'll be losing here, a lot

- you have to get down of your car to help passengers open the access to your last row all the time, because most of them don't know how. So you have to waste extra few minutes just to park your car somewhere safe, get down your car, open seats, close seats during every pick up/drop off. During rainy season you have to get wet for peanut jobs all the time.

In the end, you may earn a little more than normal grabcar but you will gone through more suffer, and higher maintenance fee for your car. It is not very worth it with current fare/rate.

I love the momentum of driving AA B2B. Big fare, small fare, I sapu. I believe all my odds are better if I’m always on the move. Driving out at 8am, by 4pm I’ll get RM300 gross. Worst also at least got RM200.

Yeah yeah I know sure got HG drivers from ancient time say wah gross 300 in 8 hours not as good as last time leh. So go find your jobs and flip your burgers, or become activist to improve ehailing industry, instead of just whining what most people already know
*
Who say 8 hours RM 300 is little? Minus lunch/toilet breaks you only work 7 hours, which is RM 30-40 per hour. Consider yourself lucky to drive in city which is high demand, if work 8am-4pm in my city will only gross RM 100+- lol and zero b2b.

UP above AA

non peak hour just off AA pick better job

yes we dont really care gold/platinum status

income better than title

Maybe they should change it to

Silver 20% commission
Gold 15 commission
Platinum 10% commission

to discourage cherry pick 😆

West Malaysia maybe no more, but if you ever heard of sibu we had 70% passing rate for psv 😁 the package is not cheap but I can tell you that even part timers are forking out those money, my city will continue saturated with drivers after July.

Hi, I just started driving, due to no job now. Can I get any tips how to make a living using grab? I am hoping not to touch my life saving while job hunting now.. My home city is N. Sembilan. But I actually live at Nilai, so I was thinking if changing to Klang Valley a good idea..

Thanks..
*
Yes just change to kv and drive 8 hours AA a day to make rm200-300 gross as mentioned by one of our forumer. Be noted that he might be related in grab office and able to set priority and automatic filtering bad jobs 🤣

Grab doesn't give permanent ban to modders that's why they're rampant

Grab tech too lousy or modders too pro? Maybe next is implement compulsory AA for all to counter them 😂

They said that car below three years no need to go check puspakom right? My instructor at the driving institution i attended said that still need to go for "pemeriksaan awalan" or initial inspection for the first time. Then after 3 years only need to go annually. Is it true?
*
My local puspakom also say new cars also need go inspection and then next at 3 years. But I think not true or else grab will say all cars have to go for inspection, it is just a way puspakom want to make more money.

e-hailing drivers met with MCA.

Issues raised included:
PSV
suspension of drivers by the e-hailing operators
welfare of drivers
rider account management
banning e-hailing operators from offering loan to the drivers  biggrin.gif

Suspension of drivers, if they use modded app then nothing to complain la, also if too much cancellations. But if kena ban because riders anyhow complain then grab must take it seriously.

QUOTE(OptimusStar @ May 31 2019, 05:50 PM)
Has anyone of you done the puspakom checking? I have gone twice and both fail due to the back break not gripping hard enough. After doing full service in Perodua, i went to Puspakom Pandan Mewah and fail the first one with 46% , passing is 58% after finding a shop to fix do it again fail at 51% , now i fix and i want to do at another centre Puspakom Cheras, when i called the number 1-3000-2222-10  they said can do as long as got the fail report from other branches, but when i go to the branch directly they said cant .

Puspakom is really a pain this process, any tips.

For those who miss out my earlier comment. This is the rating screen I was talking about and rider tick on any column if they rate us lower than 5 stars.
*
Those tick tick really cb, riders always anyhow rate and submit those complain because too easy and after that it is none of their business.

Got once a rider complain to me in the car that grab fare is expensive and I was like huh? Most of the riders telling me grab is too cheap. Immediately I receive sms from grab that day say I overcharging. What the fark, apparently that cb rider want complain fare expensive but no such option then he go tick overcharging which is driver issue! I never overcharge fyi so it must be this guy.

Grab just want do easy work and everything automated, so guys just survive on your own.

Decide to bite the bullet and pay 700 for the runner. Fuck Anthony loke really.

Plus side is, probably less drivers on the road on July means more mega whales for everyone hopefully can offset this cost
*
My place can settle with 100-200+ 😀 if you have taxi friends then can ask them help, most of them have been using runners for years, lousy cars also guarantee pass
