Just test drive an Aruz, NVH really not bad at all. Engine noise at minimal and better soundproof than myvi/alza. Tyre noise more apparent than engine noise when cruising at 90-110kmh.

RPM was at 2.7k when cruise 90kmh, 3.1k when cruise 110kmh, exactly like the old persona and saga BLM FL with 4at but off course toyota engine quieter, not boomy like campro.

The ride comfortable for 1st row, 2nd is ok, 3rd is bumpy. BRV still better ride than aruz, but when at pass through pothole aruz can absorb better. 5 person on board including SA. If 1 person not sure.

For time being yes if budget below 90k, because the only 7 seater below 80k that have Stability control and 6 Airbag with all latest safety feature. BRV only 2 airbag not worth for now, wait for the facelift. Exora and Alza too old also 2 airbag.

Ya if want to upgrade from alza not much difference in size, only safety  features different. Hold your bullet save for a better mpv. I believe all manufacturers will step up their game after this. Wait for Geely Jiaji come to Malaysia, I'm pretty sure the price will be like X70.

price matching of aruz to x70???? really?

x70 might have minor price drop once ckd, or give you more kits at the same price.

On the aruz rush scenario, most likely some hefty discount on rush perhaps. Is not unusual practice though. for perodua, their tradition is give offer to variant that is not so hot in demand/have excess inventory. Since rush and aruz come from the same production line, and perodua only targeting 2500 units per month (not sure how many units toyota is targeting, 500?), it is unlikely the price matching practice will be in place. You won't be getting excessive aruz in inventory (rush maybe). As perodua can anytime bump up the production for other models.  And aruz cannot be cheaper in order to maintain the gap between rush. And adjusting the price down wasn't something that perodua will usually do. After all they are UMW subsidiaries. We all know how UMW make money.

it maybe a psychological tactic played by Perodua to lure for bookings in order to make up the numbers. After all, when we watch the review on aruz, most of the review are about being neutral with not much praising. Let alone the powertrain (output and combination) will be the focus of consumer (malaysians are fond with the peppy throttle perodua since 1st myvi) and target for rivals to attack (honda will be praising their iVTEC CVT BRV in terms of output by numbers, proton will tell you their x70 being TGDI 6AT).

Well, let's see. If perodua were to bump up the pricing, then perodua is sort of suicidal with aruz market planning. Especially when their service quality is going down trend, and also the parts quality wasn't as good as they gonna had. If proton able to improve on their car's reliability, and service quality. Then perodua should be really worry about their future.

Just got my car today. Was expecting the worse because did not test drive the car before buying. The car does not feel sluggish for city driving and no problem cruising 70-80km/h. Engine not too loud. I find the Aircond blower nosier.

I downgraded from a civic 1.8 so I think highway driving will be disappointing as it would not match civic’s speed. Suspension is nice because you don’t feel the potholes on the road.

Awkward to open car doors. One press only open drivers door. You need to double press to open all doors. To activate DRL you must put your light in park all the time. I thought it should be on all the time.

Radio sound system sux and screen is so small.

After watching  and reading some reviews, i might be considering this aruz instead of exora sometime middle of the year to replace my vios..have to change it since i will enter 2nd tiernpayment  for the 2013 vios for 1k monthly..

Dont think aruz will up till x70 100k Barrier. Aruz doesn't have thr fancy features of x70.
