QUOTE(neekun @ Dec 25 2019, 08:29 AM) Is PS4 network down? Error code was dns error occurred. Me using 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8. Connection is unifi 800Mbps. 1.1.1.1 as primary sure error, don't know why. So just fully use Google DNS, problem solved.

QUOTE(simmarjit @ Apr 23 2020, 01:41 PM) I wonder if should clean my PS4 Pro and reapply the paste, its like a freaking 747 when under load. Yes, you should. I disassembled my PS4 Pro CUH-7006B and service the heck out of it and the end result was awesome! Ended up cleaning the cooling fan (found out it was a Nidec from factory), the heat sink, reapplied thermal paste (I used Thermal Grizzly Kyronaut) and new thermal pads (I used Thermal Grizzly Minus 8 pads, 1mm thickness). Tested with three games (RE3 Remake, FF7 Remake and Horizon Zero Dawn) and so far Horizon Zero Dawn's world map menu eventually made the cooling fan kicks in up a notch. QUOTE(Eisenmeteor @ May 19 2020, 10:04 PM) Is it worth for get 1tb external hdd or better to get 2TB? This modern warfare game is getting too large for the 500gb to install more than one game Saw a 2gb external selling on shopee for 127 For storage wise, the bigger the better

QUOTE(Jack Eye @ Jun 12 2020, 03:37 PM) Hi guys, just want to share. Managed to get a PS4 pro under Days of Play promotion today. Walked in many outlet at Sunway, even Sony. No stock, no preorder too. Then, luck turned good, found at HeavyArm. Nice guys to deal with. Hope to deal more with them I know PS5 is around the corner, but decided to enjoy the PS4 promotion price and let PS5 mature first. Good choice bro, ps4 has a lot of games to play with.

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Nov 7 2020, 07:58 PM) Decided to change the thermal paste on my PS4 pro. This completely solved the fan noise. Previously it was as loud as a hair dryer. Now, it’s barely noticeable. It was troublesome to disassemble the unit, but no soldering was required and I got it changed in an hour. Which thermal paste did you get? 😁

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Nov 8 2020, 01:44 PM) Arctic silver 5. My current fan was the nidec fan which was supposed to be quiet, but with the old thermal paste it was really loud. Yup, mine is exactly the same model as yours and comes with the Nidec fan. It will eventually gets louder after you game it for some time but no more jet fan mode.

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Jan 26 2021, 04:14 PM) Update after a couple of months. The nidec PS4 pro fan is getting loud again. Not as Loud as just before I changed the fan, but it’s certainly very noticeably irritating now. Can definitely hear it over speakers. It’s a good thing I’ll be able to collect the ps5 later this weekend. Can’t stand the noise. You did clean the heat sink and reapplied thermal paste right?

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Jan 27 2021, 10:07 AM) Yup. Heat sink was quite clean too before I cleaned it. Have to live with it. The cooling solution design unfortunately is like that~~ Even my PS4 Pro does the same, repasted it with TG Kryonaut, fully cleaned the heatsink and the fan will eventually get loud again but not until jet sound, still will be noticable. QUOTE(nyunyu @ Apr 30 2022, 02:00 PM) On paper yes SSD would be more beneficial BUT if I not mistaken PS4 fat has slow SATA II controller in which won't be fully utilise the SSD higher speed? You still will benefit from shorter load times, that's the important bit.
